The curtain rod is very sturdy. I put up velvet drapes which are fairly heavy. This rod handles with ease. It’s an extra long rod. I probably didn’t need one this long and ended up with an extra bar. I have to say this was an easy installation. I put them up in 10-15 minutes. I have two windows 195 inches and want 112 they both are supported well without the center support. Reasonably priced and would purchase again if needed

I had been led to believe that installation was simple. It was not easy for me. Instructions are not the best. Granted, I am not the handiest. But eventually is was installed and looks great. The finials are really pretty.
