Low/no shine depending on how much you put in your hair. If you apply while wet, it will add a little bit of shine. It's a very stiff hold, but not does not make hair hard or brittle. That said, if someone touches your hair (at least with the amount I put in), they will definitely notice that it's tacky/sticky. But I like that my hair remains malleable and can be corrected easily if needed. I have thick hair that is prone to cowlicks and basically does what it wants. This product is strong enough to keep my hair in line all day long. The only trick I've noticed is that you really have to rub it in your hands to heat it up and soften it before applying. It does smell a bit pine-y during and immediately after application, but I've found the smell fades to basically nothing within 10 minutes after applying. ... show more

This product is good. It gives a Okay hold and low shine but it smells very chemical like. If it wasn't for the smell, then it would be perfect.

Great high strength hold. It has a waxy, dense texture that you need to rub into your hands before applying. Results are better when applied to clean, dry hair. Dries to a stiff hold with low shine. Will use this when my hair needs to hold for an entire day. If i'm just doing my hair for a night out I prefer the blue D: struct one. Overall I'm happy with this one and will probably end up stocking both the D:struct and the D:sculpt in my medicine cabinet. ... show more

I personally don't hate this product. I have decently curly/wavy hair and with this sculpting cream, it does a decent job at holding my hair in place, in the style I prefer. Plus it has a unique smell to it that sort of makes me like it a little bit more. What I do HATE however is the fact that the second order of this cream that I've bought had just arrived today and when I opened it to use it, I discovered that I was shipped a container that was already about 1/4th used. I seriously considered sending it back right then and there, but if it weren't for the fact that I'm out of any hair sculpting cream and that I can't seem to find anything else decent around where I live in stores, it would have been back on the UPS truck this evening.
