My waves tend to puff up and frizz the second there’s humidity involved. This leave-in noticeably softens and smooths my hair without flattening my texture. My waves still have movement and shape — they just look more defined and less “fluffy” and chaotic. It helps control that halo frizz around the top of my head (the little antenna curls I get), which is a huge win for me. Because my hair gets dry fast, I need moisture — but I hate heavy products that make my roots greasy. This cream hits a good balance. For years this leave in conditioner has been a favorite of me and my girls. Its lightweight. Not greasy. Spreads nicely without needing much at all. I have very long hair and a little over a quarter size is all I use.. and I could get by with less probably but I get tangles and scared to risk breaking my hair brushing them out. The smell is nice, light.. clean smell. Does wonders fighting frizz. Its recipe holds so many hair benefits in 1 bottle ! Overall I love this product. Great value for the price (it was 2 bottles for just under $6) and good quality. It’s not sticky or greasy. Smells so delicious, like fresh apples. It doesn’t appear to have any effect until about 12-24 hours after a hair wash, but after that my hair looks and feels REALLY good. I feel a little disappointed in that aspect, because I’m still looking for a product that would have an immediate effect so as to prevent damage. Using MORE of the product didn’t help haha—made my hair clump. I’ve noticed it speeds up its effectiveness when I wear a silk bonnet for a couple hours after my hair is dry. I generally buy this at Walmart but I haven’t been up to going out. It was also cheaper to buy a 2 pack here. My hair is close to my lower back now and is thin- but I have a lot of it. I have a wave/ curl pattern that isn’t strong enough to be styled with the curling products- BUT it is wavy/curly enough that it gets frizzy. This leave in conditioner has been my favorite one for 4 years now. I squirt some on my hand and rub it around like lotion and then run my hands through my hair and all over the ends. Whatever else is left on my hands (generally not a lot) I apply to the top of my head towards my face where my baby hairs are so it doesn’t have a heavy application but enough to keep it soft and smooth.
