For years this leave in conditioner has been a favorite of me and my girls. Its lightweight. Not greasy. Spreads nicely without needing much at all. I have very long hair and a little over a quarter size is all I use.. and I could get by with less probably but I get tangles and scared to risk breaking my hair brushing them out. The smell is nice, light.. clean smell. Does wonders fighting frizz. Its recipe holds so many hair benefits in 1 bottle ! Alright, so after not having my hair highlighted or colored professionally for years, I figured I wanted a change again - and that my hair was healthy and strong enough for me to do it myself. Of course, big mistake, even though I relied on AI help. LOL. In short, after two lightenings/bleachings/liftings and spending A LOT on PURPLE toners, purple shampoos, more developers (now I own every kind between 10 & 40 volume), etc., my hair was still orange AND DRY!!! Finally, I figured out that I needed BLUE-toned toner, NOT purple ... but at this point, even considering any other type of deposit (because toner does not lift, only deposits) using developing cream, made me so very wary. I thought about buying Aphogee here, but the reviews were very polarizing and some images showed a watered-down product. Luckily*, I then saw this Garnier Fructis leave-in conditioner was on sale. I thought: why not. Well, let me tell you my version of the good and the bad: No bueno: - The bottles are small. Think soda-can sized. - I do notice moisture, but not the 'sleekness' or shine others describe. Worse: - The bottles, although well packaged and sealed, seem as if they are only 1/2 to 3/4's full. Yes, you heard me right. For this reason alone, I almost gave this product only two stars. I dislike feeling misled, misguided, or misinformed - if that makes sense, and half-full products irk me. The Good: Sadly, I only have the one "before" image of my dry ends and it really doesn't show how bad they were getting, but I've included it. This product however, in two uses, seems to have helped. If I had to specify a number, I would say it has been 40% effective in helping to restore moisture to my almost toasted ends. That for me, is a win at this point, and I am hoping that with continued use or maybe the addition of a mayonnaise mask, that will improve further, so that I can finally fully tone down the orange with a blue toner. ... show more
