    • Strange smell with this hairspray...

This was my first time using this hairspray and it does what it says. It has great holding power for my super straight hair! And, it does the job better than a more expensive hairspray I've used for a long time. However, I could only give this product 4 stars as the smell of the hairspray is not pleasant. Before ordered the hairspray, I noticed a few other customers had remarked on how bad the hairspray smells. But, I figured it couldn't be that bad. I was wrong. The only way I can describe the smell is like dirty socks. When I use it, I have to spritz my hair with another, better smelling hairspray to mask the order of the Nexxum. It's a great product, but they need to make it more pleasant smelling. I don't think I'll buy this hairspray again, only because of the strange smell it has. ... show more

    • Spray stops working before being empty

Up until now, I have used this hairspray for many years with satisfied results. In this order of 3 hairspray cans, the spray stopped working on two of the cans well before they were empty - one at maybe 1/4 full and the other at about 3/4 full. I have cleaned the nozzles but they continue to not produce any spray. I just started using the 3rd can and while it is spraying, the nozzle seems stiff, so the spray comes out in strong short bursts rather than a continuous light spray. My hair gets very stiff in spots. I'm very unhappy that I paid full price but am only getting partial and unsatisfactory use of the product without being able to return or get a refund at this point. ... show more

I can still brush through my hair if I need to restyle, and everything stays smooth. A little goes a long way too, so the can lasts longer than I expected. I have been buying and using this hairspray for a couple years now. I LOVE it!!! But...this is the 2nd time Ive received it and it quits sraying after only a few uses. Its very frustrating!!
