Mine arrived well packaged but the product box itself smelled terrible. Once opened, the battery smelled the same. In hindsight I presume that the battery was bad but didn't know it until I charged it. No pre-charge voltage noted (I should have checked it first!). It charged on my GenPro10X3 in about an hour. No indication of a problem. When I measured the voltage with a volt meter it read 17.6 volts. This seemed way off to me. I tried to contact the seller through Amazon but couldn't find any contact info. So I used the live chat function on their website. My messages went through but no actual person responded (time difference???) It did have a name and photo in the chat box but I never heard back from anyone. Amazon took the battery back. I just had to box it and drop it at UPS. Will not buy again.

The media could not be loaded. I haven't really put this to a hard test. It currently just powers a propane detector in my studio. The first cycle lasted less then expected but this is not uncommon with new LiFePo4 batteries. Second cycle has already lasted longer and is still has a lot of charge. By "cycle" I mean a full charge followed by use until depleted of usable energy. This is not the battery you would build your home solar system with but it's a decent battery for a small RV or just a back up 12v supply, and at an affordable price.

Here is new technology in batteries that can be used in older applications as an upgrade, or as a direct replacement for an existing battery of this size and type. In my case, I used this to upgrade an older lead acid style battery in my larger dual sport motorcycle which came with a YB14L-A2 size battery. This battery was actually smaller then my original battery, despite carrying a higher amp rating, but I was able to fit it to the bike with some simple rubber padding. Terminals worked fine, and because the battery does not need to be oriented in any particular way, it can be turned so as to fit a great many battery boxes. Just be careful of course about where your hot and ground terminals, frame grounds and connections are, and ensure that never the twain shall never meet even under vibration, bounces and bumps. This battery charged up quickly, as it came with a decent charge still on it. Be aware that these batteries DO NOT like to be drained to zero, and are very slow to recover from that condition. Since they have a higher amp hour rating than the standard battery of a comparable size, this should really not be much of an actual problem. I found starting to be just as good as the original set up, and performance of everything from lights to charging seemed unaffected by my swap. It is much lighter, and any time you can reduce weight on one of my style bikes, that is a good thing. After using this battery for a month now, I have encountered no problems of any kind with my conversion. This battery should last a long time, but if I encounter any longevity or malfunction problems, I will amend my review to reflect that. So far however, this has proven to be an ideal solution for my needs, performs flawlessly, seems to be constructed with quality materials and workmanship, offers an excellent value for it's current price of $49.99. I can highly recommend this battery to anyone who can use it.

Hooked to 100w solar panel in full sun. Inverter low power warning goes off within the first 20 minutes. Just the Inverter, no load. Very very disappointing.
