  • Low price, works just fine.
Style: Black
Price is great for those who need something for occasional use on a benchtop. Mine did not come with instructions, so if you are reading this, be sure to read further, and look at the pictures in the product photos for the two pages of instructions. If you know your way around mounts, then this is a straightforward installation. If this is your first time, then the bipod has jaws if your firearm has a mounting point for this bipod. Take a look at the rail adapter for the piece you should look for. If you do not have this mounting point and only have a bare rail, then you can use the included adapter to attach the bipod to the rail adapter. The bipod comes with a 'hose piece' placed between the jaws, and the only way to remove it is to loosen the adjuster on the bottom to allow the jaws to move forward to get the hose off. If you have the bipod adapter, then just get the jaws inbetween the holes and tighten. If not, use the adapter, and then rail mount it. Overall, the bipod works just fine. The feet are spring loaded with a tiny spring and they can be positioned at different heights. There are specific increments for the feet position, so if you are on uneven ground, you may not be level. Couple this with there not being any side to side movement, leads me to believe that it would work really well on a benchtop or other similar flat surface, but not as well in the field. It is certainly better than nothing at all though. My only fear is that the tightening screw (the one to tighten the bipod down to the firearm or the rail adapter) may strip at some point, as the threads seem pretty fine, and that the piece holding it on, I could not tell exactly what it is threading into. See pictures for what I mean. While nothing has happened to mine, I will see over time what happens. I plan on using a bunch of thread locker to make sure everything stays where I have it. The rail adapter is robust, and overall the finish is pretty decent for everything. For the cost though, I am happy with putting it on one of my inexpensive firearms. If anybody has any questions or needs more pictures, be sure to ask! ... show more

  • Works fine for a low-recoil rifle - It is what you'd expect
Style: Black
Ok let's be honest, we're all here looking at this bipod for one reason -- it's cheap. $18.99 is the price right now, that's a lot less than a Harris. I also have 3 Harris bipods at home for my more serious guns, so I think it's fair to do a comparison between the two. The Harris is just straight up heavy duty. I don't think I'd be able to break it. I've used them on my 308 rifles, my 6.5 CM rifle (which is pretty light recoil anyways), and an AR. Sure, the only one of those that kicks is the 308, but my 6.5 CM rifle is fairly heavy, and the Harris stands up to that just fine. I've also swapped out the Harris feet with some spike claws, so hammering the roll pins out and back in, the Harris has stood up to it just fine. I've also attached a sling to the rear sling point, and while I've since switched back to a stock-mounted sling point, the Harris one felt fine too. The CV Life is obviously a cheaply made clone of it, and you can tell the difference right away. Open the package, and the import shipping grease is on it, although just mildly. You'll want to use a shop rag and wipe it all off. Once that's done though, just holding it, you can tell it's not as solid as a Harris. The Harris' springs for dropping the legs are more hefty, as is the spring for the leg extension ejection. Spring pressure aside, the legs just feel more solid on the Harris. Tightening the screw down on the CV Life, it doesn't feel like they mount QUITE as secure as the HArris, but it's not that bad either. Note that I didn't use the Piccitany attachment this came with, but the swivel mount itself, so I can't comment on how good/bad the Piccitany rail adapter is. End of the day though, does it get the job done? Sure, this one is now sitting on my Savage 22 Mark II in a Boyd's Tacticool stock. For that purpose, it holds up just fine. I definitely would NOT put this on a heavier gun or a harder recoiling gun. If you want this for airsoft, go for it, it's $19!!! If you want this for a 22 rifle, go for it, it's cheap and will hold up just fine. It's just easier than swapping Harris bipods from one of my nicer rifles back to a 22 each time I want to shoot a rifle. Just leave this cheap bipod mounted to the 22 and you're good to go. One thing to note is this obviously doesn't "pivot" like most of the Harris models do. By "pivot", that's the side-tilt-cant, not the horizontal swiveling. Why do you care? Because at longer ranges, you need your rifle to be perfectly level or any vertical scope adjustments you make would have been exagerated left or right. For that application though, you'll also want a scope bubble level mounted to your rig. If you're not shooting anything more than 50-100 yards, it probably doesn't matter anyways. Again as this is on a 22 rifle, I'm fine with it not having a pivot feature. ... show more

Fantastic value for the price. Spring loaded legs are nice. It doesn’t swivel but it’s 20 bucks what do you expect. so far it holds sturdy. Mounted to a 10/22

  • Bipod
Style: Flat Dark Earth
The bipod seems pretty sturdy at first but then when I collapsed the legs they wouldn’t stay in. You have to adjust the spring lever or you’ll have issues. Other than that, not bad for the price.
