I bought this for my 30/30 Thompson Contender. I'm not using it for long ranges but do plan to hunt deer with it this fall. It seems very bright, and the battery life seems to be pretty good. So far I have had it on for somewhere near 10 hours and haven't noticed a difference in the brightness. I zeroed my Contender at 50 yards and it repeated well. Then I changed to one of the other reticles and it held zero. If you have never shot a 30/30 Contender, they have a lot of recoil. It's a 14" 30/30 pistol. I was concerned that this wouldn't be able to hold up the that recoil. But at this point I have more than 100 rounds through it and it held up fine. I have noticed no shift in poi. Absolutely love the quality of this sight. I have several handguns and use holosun optics on my duty weapon as well as one of my edc guns. They are just too expressive to add to all my guns (I bought this one for a rifle)so I thought I would give this one a try. The optics are remarkably clear and crisp. The unit is a little larger than I am used to and it is a manual on/off , but for the price I’m not going to complain. I look forward to sighting in and hope it works as well as it made. I will probably end up grabbing a couple more. Can’t beat the price! ... show more
