  • Good picture.
Sharp, good picture quality. I Love this Lens. Paired it with S52.

  • Amazing Lens - Better Than I Expected
As a "pixel-peeper" I am always looking for detail in my photos. Today I was testing this lens for the first time and came upon a wow moment I wasn't expecting. The duck's closeup photo is a 100% crop from the original photo. I am posting both. I can see the pattern in the duck's feathers and water droplets on its head. I'm no wildlife photographer, but I've taken duck pictures before from close range with lesser cameras. I had felt that full-frame cameras and lenses are just too bulky and expensive, but I may have to re-think that after seeing this photo. (Photo details: 230mm, f/5.5, 1/400th sec, ISO 160). ... show more

  • Sharpness throughout
I like this lens very much. I have a Leica SL2 with a Leica lens, but additional Leica lenses are terrifically expensive. I'm sure a techno-nut could find flaws in this lens, but it works well for my purposes. I've tested with landscapes and find that the images are sharp even toward the end of its range. I've not yet tested it on moving subjects. It's not a good low-light lens but I knew that up front. Completely satisfied. ... show more

  • Fantastic, but not for pixel shift
If you want to do wildlife or something alo g those lines this is perfect. For pixel shift in an s5 for some reason mine had a lot of difficulty. It may have been a defect in that particular lens though.

  • I like it but
I like it. But it struggles a little bit in the auto focus department. It still gets the job done. Just takes extra time. If you're buying for wildlife. I recommend going with a lens that's 400 or more. U still have to get close to your subject for great quality shots with this 300 lens. The macro is OK. I thought it would be better tho. Overall it's a great starter photography lens that's not specifically for just 1 thing like wildlife. Struggles alot in auto focus in low to lower light ... show more

Does it's job, it's amazing at capturing far away subjects. The photos came out gorgeous and I'm so happy I was able to finally purchase this. It's heavy, but I'm happy with it
