We've been using this bin for a few weeks now for our recycling pickup and it's been a great addition! Before, we used to just break down our boxes/paper, etc, and put them bare on the curb, usually inside the biggest box we had at the time. But with this bin, we can just gather everything into it, and most of the time I don't have to spend so much energy breaking everything down and forcing it inside each other to make a tight package (my fear was always that things would blow away easily). This bin is sturdy and even in pretty moderate-high winds, hasn't gotten blown over. Weight is good; not too heavy, not too light. It's a little bit smaller than I was anticipating—I think in another city they provided bins that were a bit alrger—but it still works great and for a 2-person household (with a pretty high amount of amazon packaging materials to recycle) we are fine with this 1 bin on a weekly pickup schedule. It's well made, doesn't seem likely to crack—isn't too thin—and feels sturdy. It doesn't have any drainage holes, so I do try to keep it under cover so it won't get full of rainwater.
