This is an excellent cast iron set at a really reasonable price. After using these to cook a few things with, I can say I notice no difference from more expensive cast iron skillets and the taste came out the same. These aren't the easiest to clean, but it's nice they can't with cleaners to make the process a little easier. I also appreciated the two difference pan sizes included since normally you just get the 1. Highly recommend this set if you're looking!

This is a really nice cast iron Dutch oven. I have another cast iron pan that's a "brand name" and I really can't see any difference in quality between that one and this. The little silicone handles are useful also. This is a very good item for a very reasonable price. Also, it arrived quickly.

This is a terrific dutch oven / frypan combo for a single person, just 3q, solid and well-made. Kept oiled and dry, seasoned cast iron is the best cooking medium of all, no toxins, no scratches, and good heat retention with a heavy bottom.

I absolutely love this Dutch oven. I bought with no handle in the center of the lid so that the oven could be used each way. I’m so glad because I use each section of the oven to cook meals on the stove. So it gained versatility for me for baking and for stove top use. Nothing sticks (I put oil on it after each use). I found this pan to be ideal for a smaller meal, something that will not make one or two fish fillets look lost in a pan. Add to that the bonus that is quite deep for a pan - meaning fewer splashes. Of course, the main quality of this pan is that is made of cast iron which makes it ideal for induction cooking. The only drawback of an induction stove is that the temperature cannot be increased linear but in steps and sometimes one single step is between too much and too little. A cast iron pan has enough thermal inertia to smooth those transactions. Then, why only four stars? The manufacturer managed to get a good product at low cost. But with a little bit more effort could transform it into a great product. You see, normally when a cast iron product comes out of the mold the surface is not perfectly smooth. This is not a problem if you were to use the pan on a gas stove, but I would be reluctant to use it directly on a ceramic surface because, potentially it can scratch the surface. They should have addressed this issue. Personally, I used some metal sandpaper to smooth the bottom outside and inside (you don’t really need to do the inside). Mind you that as soon as you wash the dust and the pans dries the rust appears immediately, so you need to re-season the pan right away. But once you do that, I am sure that you’ll enjoy this pan for a long time.

Pre-season high quality cast iron, and at a price about 1/2 or more below others!! I simply scrolled way down and found this gem waiting for me to discover:). I heated at 400 for 30 minutes and let cool down before actually using to burn off any manufacturing residues prior to using. The 3” top frying pan allows me to also have a great frying pan…and allows me to have a deep Dutch oven 2-3” lower than conventional!
