This dutch oven works great for baking bread, I’ve been so happy with the results. And I like how the top can also be used as a skillet. I’ve used it multiple times for pies. This is a great deal and I highly recommend it.

This is an excellent cast iron set at a really reasonable price. After using these to cook a few things with, I can say I notice no difference from more expensive cast iron skillets and the taste came out the same. These aren't the easiest to clean, but it's nice they can't with cleaners to make the process a little easier. I absolutely adore this 3qt Cuisinel Cast Iron Dutch Oven. It is Pre-seasoned perfectly. The Combo Lid doubles as 8"-inch Skillet Frying Pan-so perfect. It has the silicone handle covers to take it out of the oven and to lift off the lid. It is the perfect size for my small sourdough boule recipe. They always end with a crusty beautiful color on the outside and lovely chewiness on the interior of each boule I make in it. I always use parchment paper on the interior when baking my bread in it. I loved making a small pot of chili in it as well. It has no reaction to other things being cooked in it as it retains the seasoning as I maintain it. So very happy with my purchase of this product! Use this exclusively on the weber charcoal grill. Place an empty "Vortex" basket directly under it and put wood and charcoal around it. Works like a champ. Pot roast and stews take on a nice touch of smoke. Plan on trying to bake in it this winter. I understand it produces wonderful bread.
