  • Just perfect
I wish I had taken pictures of the waffles before I ate them. It's quick, easy to use, easy to clean and practical.

  • Fantastic
This waffle maker has arrived for our family Saturday breakfast. I found a recipe online as the book offered recipes with buttermilk and I had none in my fridge. The waffles came out absolutely delicious! They are crisp on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. My previous waffle maker from the same brand just broker. It served us for years. I hope this one will last at least as long. The only think I am missing that I had in my old one is the sound when the time is up. With this one you have to watch for it when the light turns green. Other than that - great waffle maker and so easy to use. We did not even use any oil on the waffle maker itself and nothing was sticking to it. We treat ourselves with waffles every weekend, so I cannot wait till Saturday to enjoy the fluffy waffles again. Thank you! ... show more

  • I have arrived
For some reason, waffles were always something of a luxury to me. I associated them with fancy breakfast outings and hotel stays. But one day it dawned on me that I needed to enjoy waffles much more often, so it was time to find a decent waffle iron. After a lot of research, this is the one I ended up with, and think I made the right choice. First off, it makes good friggin waffles, the kind that are thick and crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The texture is so good that I usually grab a piece and eat it plain, fresh off the iron. I recommend a level 4 setting and wait a few seconds before opening to make sure you get that perfect toastiness. Note that the batches tend to get better as you go. Second, it’s quick. I have a lot of eager little waffle-loving mouths to feed, and this churns them out every 2 minutes, provided you have the batter loaded and ready to go. Third, it’s easy to clean. Don’t overload it and there’s virtually no cleanup besides a quick wipe. And finally, it’s fun. I love flipping the waffle iron like I’m at a hotel. And then flipping it back over when the light turns green. So obviously the flip feature is key. Not necessarily for good waffles, but it just wouldn’t be the same without it. ... show more

  • Simple, easy to use, great waffles
This was a Wirecutter top pick. We bought it and got a package of waffle mix from Costco. They come out perfect and tasty. You can't ask for better.

  • Lovin' the waffle now
I always preferred waffles to pancakes but I never wanted to deal with what I thought would be a big mess or more work just to get them. I was at a hotel and they had a "make your own waffle" set up and it was so easy and quick that I decided to get one and try it out. This item was as close to the same set up as the commercial one the hotel had so I thought I would give it a try. This is the best. My husband is the biggest fan and he never liked waffles before. I use the same mix that I have for pancakes, just in a different ratio so didn't have to get anything special. I played around with the time and heat setting to get to the right crispy/fluffy combination and now it is as simple as 1..2..3. There is no mess to clean, nothing sticks to the surface. The measuring cup that it comes with, if used to the proper fill line marking, never causes any overflow so no runs or drips down the side. I use a silicone basting brush to spread the batter evenly in it to get even coverage. Just pour, spread the batter, close and flip... So easy. Then, when I am finished with it, I let it cool and if needed I wipe it out with some paper towels and that is it. The only thing missing is a timer, but I either use my phone or my kitchen timer so it is no big deal. I have one coming off every 3 and a half minutes. Just enough time to make some eggs and have them ready at the same time. This makes breakfast so much easier than doing pancakes or french toast. Best money that I have spent in the kitchen this year. ... show more

  • Great waffles (thinner size though)
First off, five stars because it is a very good waffle maker. I should have done more research, though, because our last maker (which was also Cuisinart) made belgian waffles that were almost an inch thick so they had crispy outsides and fluffy insides. This one makes waffles about 1/4 of an inch thick. They're nicely cooked and crispy outside but inside is more compact than we prefer. But if this is the size you like this will be perfect for you. Cuisinart makes great waffle makers; out other was about 10 years old before it stopped working, being used many times each week. Since they do last a long time I still may research and find a second waffle maker that makes the size we enjoy and then let a relative or friend have this one. ... show more
