Love this griddle pan!!! Visually, it looks more like a comal (with a long handle) and I bet it will be comparable in functionality. It's non-stick and has a lip to prevent spillage. I've been curious about HexClad pans but I personally won't pay that much for a single cookware, regardless of what people may say. Besides that, Cuisinart is a trusted brand in my kitchen, and this griddle pan is reasonably priced and far below the other brand. The surface of the griddle has a pretty squiggly pattern, it lays flat on the stove, and it feels light to hold one-handed without any strain on the wrist. I'm pretty impressed with the quality, seeing that it was able to quickly warm up porotta/parotta (Indian layered wheat bread) and tortillas. I imagine this pan will be a permanent fix to my stovetop for all kinds of meals. I can't say enough good stuff about this griddle and already know it's going work well for cooking pancakes, quesadillas, scallion pancakes, rotis, crepes, and flatbreads, etc. This is a definitely happy find and will be an excellent gift for the chef/cook in your life! ... show more

Cuisinart FusionPlus Nonstick Stainless Steel Cookware, 10.25-Inch Deep Fry Pan with glass lid is just the ticket to use as a smallish wok or pan for sauce covered dishes due to it's depth. It is fairly heavy resulting in good browning of meats and is induction cooktop compatible. It has a hexware-like surface that makes it nonstick. It is supposedly dishwasher safe but I have simply washed it in the sink and it washes quickly and easily. For many decades the majority of my cookware has been enamel-coated cast iron or regular cast iron and I have loved them for their browning/braising/roasting characteristics. But I have reached a stage in my life where I'm not cooking for a crowd and I have diminished strength in my hands and wrists. This very versatile, lighter weight but heavy duty piece of cookware for smaller to medium sized dishes is perfect for my current needs. This wok/skillet/sauce pan is very durable and I anticipate it being extremely useful. for many years. Fantastic pans I purchased this set to replace old nonstick pans. These pans are high quality and sturdy. I cooked eggs without sticking and cleanup is easy. These can go in the dishwasher. It is a ceramic coating with a pattern of stainless-steel ridges that protect the ceramic coating allowing metal utensils to be used. Highly recommend these pans. ... show more

I don't have a lot of experience using non-stick pans. I prefer to use metal cooking utensils and that makes it difficult to cook with non-stick. I ordered this set because they were advertised as being metal utensil safe and scratch-proof. I haven't actually tested that yet, but the included guide specifically says that "We recommend using plastic or wooden utensils with your Cuisinart® FusionPlusTM Nonstick Stainless Cookware. You may prefer using metal utensils. These may scratch the cooking surface, but will in no way impair the performance of your Cuisinart® FusionPlusTM Nonstick Stainless Cookware." This is something to be aware of. At the end of the day if scratches caused by using metal utensils won't affect the performance of the pan then it's essentially metal utensil safe by my estimation. I am a little bit more concerned that the non-stick material might end up in my food and that it could be ingested. And another thing to be aware of is that there is a trade-off for the scratch resistance. The non-stick properties of the pan are not quite as impressive as some of the more traditional non-stick pans that I've used. I still consider it good, but I tried scrambling some eggs and they did stick a little bit. I also added a touch of oil, which I thought would help prevent sticking, but as I said before I don't use non-stick much, maybe the oil doesn't help? These pans are of higher build quality, and more solid, than other non-stick pans I've used, which I appreciate. They're also heavier, which I associated with quality, but my girlfriend prefers a very light pan. I still consider these lightweight, compared with my 5-ply stainless steel pans, carbon steel pan, or cast iron. I think that as long as you manage your expectations, and know that you're getting something that is a little bit more like a hybrid, with some of the durability of stainless steel and a lot of the non-stick qualities, you should be very happy. If the pans were advertised with a little bit more transparency about the compatibility with steel utensils I would be giving these 5 stars, but I'm old fashioned and don't like finding out after they arrive that plastic and wooden utensils are recommended. Still good solid pans, gotta give them that. ... show more

Seems like a great pan. I think it compares to the "Hex" brand but at 1/2 the price. Very heavy pan. They thick aluminum bottom conducts heat well.
