  • Gets the job done!
Style: Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker, 465 sq. in.
Took a couple hours to put together, or maybe I was just occupied watching a movie while doing the assembly. But it was not easy or quick. The drip pan thing came rusted, totally a cosmetic issue. I brought it up to Amazon and they gave me partial refund. I emailed Cuisinart and they sent me the replacement parts free of charge, too! Winning 🏆 The inner probe is about 25° lower than what it is inside. The meat probe is accurate. I have a thermoworks smoke that I use to keep a remote eye on the grill temp and meat temps, and every cook has been a success. No issues with the pellet hopper or anything. I haven't gone any hotter than about 275°, so I can't speak for how this works as a grill, but as a smoker it's good! Briskets, pork shoulders, pork loins, pork belly, ribeye roasts, burgers, wings, and ribs! My only complaint isn't the smoker's fault, I just wish it was a little bigger. I've fit a 17# brisket in it with no room to spare. You might be able to get 2 pork shoulders in if you're lucky. If you need more smoke flavor, buy a smoke tube to toss in with your cooks. Overall, it's a great entry pellet smoker. Better deal than those overpriced brands. ... show more

  • Not mad, just disappointment
Style: Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker, 465 sq. in.
Got this on a Cyber Monday sale. Arrived mid December 2023. Made the time to build this thing on New Years Eve. Worked great that night. Tried it again a month later and nothing. After much research it was the burner. Bought a new one and replaced it…lots of work. Saw it heated so was happy. Barely using it again now 3/1/24, and it heats but looks like the fan is out….WHAT THE HECK! I just wanna grill. Well I am gonna grill on my $60 charcoal grill. Forget this I’m out. ... show more

  • Cuisine Art CPG-465 is superior to comparable Traeger Grill
Style: Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker, 465 sq. in.
I have quite a bit of experience with Traeger wood pellet grills for several years. I needed to replace my grill. I took a chance on Cuisine Art CPG-465 because of its surprisingly low price. The price is almost 50% of the comparable Traeger Grills. I have now been using the grill for nearly a month and here are my observations: 1. To my pleasant surprise the temperature control is more accurate and definitely better than the Traeger Grills so far I have been used to. 2. The LCD dial is bright & easier to read if you are trying to monitor your grill from a distance 3. As a bonus you are getting a stick into meat thermometer that shows continuous reading on the LCD dial. 4. Sheet metal work and non stick grills are made very well. The grills are in small pieces so that you can wash them in the dishwasher. You should grab the grill if you are looking for one before they bump up their prices ( seems like an introductory offer). ... show more

  • Pack a lunch!
Style: Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker, 465 sq. in.
Assembly was way more difficult than I expected and probably unnecessarily so coming from a venerable brand like Cuisinart. And yes, like many others that wrote reviews, I was short several ‘F’ screws. Having said that, the unit works perfectly well, and I am thrilled that I bought it. I would like to have given 5 stars except for the tough assembly, missing screws, and rusting drip plate (come on Cuisinart. I know that it’s just aesthetics at that point, but find a way not to send rusty parts in a new unit). So, 3 stars it is….but I really like it though! ... show more

  • Works well, easy to use. It does take a while to assemble.
Style: Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker, 465 sq. in.
I have had 2 Pit Boss smokers in the past. This Cuisinart has a design that should eliminate some issues on my older smokers. That issue was that if it got caught in hte rain and the cover blew off, water would get into the auger tube, the pellets would disolve, but then turn to sort of a cement when they dried. The Cuisinart design seems to have addressed that common design issue. I smoked the first time with it, and it performed pretty well, however the box temperature is much cooler when using a probe on the right side of the box than the built-in probe reads, I had to up the heat a notch to get the cooking temperature I was going for (225). The smoker box had no leaks, unlike most of my other barbecue grills. There would seem to be no need to add any additional sealant or gasketing to this grill. The tolerances are tight enough out of the box. The assembly is time-consuming (3 hours). It is not hard or confusing, but there are a lot of parts. Take your time and don't get out of order. A missed step made me have to undo some of the work and I lost maybe 20 minutes for my mistake. Anyway, I would recommend this small side smoker, however I will update my recommendation if any problems arise. ... show more

  • I WILL NEVER AGAIN MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BEING A CUISINART CUSTOMER
Style: Wood Pellet Grill & Smoker, 465 sq. in.
It destroyed itself on first use and Cuisinart would not honor their warranty See the attached picture. I followed all the instructions precisely but the first time I tried to cook something, the fire burned all the way up the auger and into the pellet hopper, ruining the mechanism. The melted plastic bushing you see in the picture makes it so that the auger assembly can no longer be disassembled through non-destructive means. The ABSOLUTELY INFURIATING part, however, was trying to get customer service to honor their warranty. I sent a first email on 26-FEB-2023 explaining what had happened, with pictures of the damage and proof of purchase. CS then hassled me for more pictures and said that certain parts couldn't be replaced, I kept replying with everything they asked until 23-MAR when I decided it was a lost cause to speak to them any longer. In that email I made it clear I was not interested in further correspondence, said the words "Simply send the parts you're willing to send" and then stopped replying. I never received any replacement parts. Now I've crudely converted it into a charcoal grill. It works poorly and probably won't last. The fact that I had to waste so much time disassembling it and sending picture after picture to some CS worker and got nothing to show for it is infuriating. I WILL NEVER AGAIN MAKE THE MISTAKE OF BEING A CUISINART CUSTOMER ... show more
