Beware of the amateur BBQer and their reviews. This things is awesome and I am so glad I bought it. Others complain about flare ups, yes you get flare ups when you BBQ with any grill when cooking fatty meats. The dripping fat causes flare ups. You can’t just put on fatty meat and walk away. You have to keep checking and when it starts flaring up, turn the head down to low to reduce the size of the flare ups. Others also said this thing doesn’t get hot enough or sear well. This thing is compact so it retains so much heat in that little space. It gets blazing hot. As for searing things, I had no issues at all. Put my chicken on there and got a nice sear the second I set it on the grill. Maybe they didn’t preheat their grill? Turn your grill up to high, close the lid, then let it sit for 5-10 minutes to get that grate nice and hot so when you open it to set your meat on, that thing is ready to sear. I actually prefer this than an expensive 4 burner giant grill I had in the past. That thing had problems searing because the burners were a lot lower from the grate, and it had a much larger area to heat up with the lid closed so it never stayed as hot as I wanted it. Exact opposite with this grill, and also I was surprised the grill came assembled already! The pain I went through putting together a large grill for hours made me appreciate this so much! You just have to screw on the propane regulator and slide in the fat drip tray and unfold the legs and that’s it!!! I love this grill and recommend it to people who can grill. ... show more

Great for hotdogs, hamburgers. Easy to carry with you. It is not good for foods like 6 big steaks or many kabobs. Heat distribution to edges, sides, front and back very different from what’s occurring in the middle. We tried to cook 8 kabobs but had to go to 4 at a time due to edges not getting done while center done. It cleans up very quickly and no real assembly. Would recommend attaching a temp gauge to lid also recommend meat thermometer. This is best for no more than 4 people unless cooking dogs or brats. ... show more

the wind if strong enough will blow out the burner, so if used in windy conditions it would be smart to have some wind blinds, temp control is easy with the adjustable regulator, I cooked chicken thighs and ribs on this unit, burnt the chicken because i had the temp to high, the ribs came out just right after fine tuning the temp. WouldI buy this unit again, YES I would. compact yet large enough for ten chicken thighs and a rack of ribs. ... show more

Extremely disappointed. Even bought some #61-80 drills so I could enlarge the jet with no luck. Simply doesn't get hot enough. It's literally like baking vs grilling. Bought it cause I needed something small for a new motor home. My other RV U used one only a little larger but worked fine (diff brand). I trusted Cuisinart to have something workable. 07/24/24 stand by original review. BUT one important caveat is that this has its own regulator, so a RV with its own main tank regulator will really cut down the heat. Lesson: be sure you buy a grill where its regulator is on the hose, so you can connect a different hose that is just a plain hose extension with a quick disconnect to the RV outlet. ... show more
