First of all a 14 in pan is not a12 inch so be sure to know what you're ordering. I also purchased the 8 in and 10 in to replace some old pieces that I had. They are all sturdy, nonstick, and a little lighter than my old pans in a good way. The lighter weight has no effect on heat distribution or any other factors. The style with the long handle and helper handle is what I wanted to replace my 12 in pan that just had the 2 small handles. I decided to go with the larger as I have other 12 in pans. The only bad part that cost them a star is that after 1 use the bottom warped a bit and doesn't lay flat like when I it arrived. This is not a big issue and you won't even notice it with a gas range, but on a flat top electric the pan wants to spin easily on the low point in the center. In some ways this is advantageous to spin the pan without dragging on the glass but in most cases you have to hold on to the handle when stirring the contents. To be fair the same thing happened with my old 12 in pan so maybe this is just an issue with all larger pans. I love this thing. I purchased it to replace a T-Fal skillet that I really liked, but over time, the T-Fal changed shape so that the center was higher than the edges, and your food didn't cook evenly. I wanted a good skillet, but didn't want to spend a fortune on one. Leave it to Cuisinart, they come through for me again! This thing is perfect. Big enough to handle any job, yet still fits in the dishwasher. Nice and heavy so you don't have any "hot spots" and it made my Chicken Stroganoff come out amazing.

Likes: super nonstick surface, easy to clean, oven safe, has weight to it and not a cheap thin throw away pan, large 12” with lid. Almost none of these skillets come with lids - this was a major decision point for me buying this one. Universal lids sold separately universally don’t fit any pan correctly. I don’t always use a lid when using a skillet; but when a want a lid I should have a lid. MAJOR selling point for me here. Dislike: the rim around the lid is shallow and if pan is tilted can slide off easily. This is primarily only an issue when putting the pan away through a narrow cabinet door not when cooking. This is minor however.

This pan is a nice weight and cooks evenly. I love the fact that it has a glass lid cover. It’s so easy to clean!! The old pan I had got dropped and the handle broke off. The old pan had higher edges though. This one, not so much. You can’t go wrong with a cuisinart!!

With so many choices out there, it isn't easy to pick which nonstick skillet to buy. This Cuisinart fits the bill perfectly - a Goldilocks skillet that's not too light, not too heavy, weight is just right to ensure rapid heating and very even heat distribution. The shape is also ideal - nice large flat cooking area, with the sides sloped to facilitate easy tossing and flipping. The handle is also very comfortable in use, but you really do need to grip it near the Y-split for best results. Nonstick surface has held up perfectly so far (but I never use metal utensils or wash it in the dishwasher, so that probably helps). At this price, with the glass lid included, it is an exceptional buy.
