  • Good all purpose pan
Color: Chef's Pan w/Cover Size: 3-Quart
Was switching my old sauce pan with a new non-stick pan. Was looking at sauce pans but bought this chef's pan instead. I am glad I did. I use it in place of my sauce pans and it works very well for me. I use it to make chili, gravies, soups, etc. It heats nicely on my electric, glass top stove. I would recommend, as it is a good multi-use pan. Cleans up nicely too. ... show more

  • Another great one-pot meal pan!
Color: Chef's Pan w/Cover Size: 3-Quart
2015: bought this pan to replace my calphalon 2.5 qt shallow saucepan, which has started to have the non-stick coating flake off. IN all truth, the Calphalon pan has held up like a trooper, because I'm single and I cook a lot of "one pot meals." It's spent the bulk of its life sitting on top of my stove. I just received the Cuisinart 3-quart pan and so far I really love it. A tad bit larger than the Calphalon, and the rounded corners make it easy to stir and flip food in the pan, but with a nice sized flat bottom that just fits my largest burner on the stove. And nothing sticks, so I can usually just wipe it out and use it again. I like the feel of the Cuisinart handles and this handle one did not get hot, despite my slow frying some sliced potatoes and garlic last evening for quite a while. It heats quickly and while the pan is not heavy, it's not super light either. I think it's just right. Here's hoping for along life for this pan because I know I'm going to use it a whole lot. Update: 2024: I’m still using this pan. A few scratches in the non-stick coating—-but 9 years down the road since I bought it in 2015, how could I complain? It’s still my “go-to” pan! ... show more

  • Great medium non-stick saucepan
Color: Chef's Pan w/Cover Size: 3-Quart
I actually had one of these pans for 12 years. I decided to replace it with one that was PFOA free. So I bought a new one. And replaced the four quart model too. These pans are excellent and a great shape, similar to a saucier. I find them great for most cooking, easy to stir, and easy to clean. Love the glass lids too, to keep track of cooking without removing them. ... show more

  • Great size and easy clean up.
Color: Chef's Pan w/Cover Size: 3-Quart
Love this pan! Great size for me. Can be used for anything—even reheating. Cleanup is easy. My only desire is that they consider silicone handles for future models.

  • Large and light
Color: Chef's Pan w/Cover Size: 3-Quart
This pan arrived damaged due to irresponsible packaging. But that's no reflection on the quality of the pan. The lid is somewhat heavy, by comparison to the lightness of the pan. And it's handle tends to get VERY hot. So plan to use a pot holder to lift the lid while cooking. The pan itself is thin but sturdy. It's well balanced, in spite of it's obnoxiously long, narrow handle. After a bit of seasoning, the non-stick quality is quite good. And the enclosed instructions are accurate when they say not to use HIGH heat. The pan heats quickly and evenly, and seldom requires the use of more than med-high heat. For a relatively inexpensive pan, this one is more than satisfactory. ... show more

  • Cuisinart is the best!
Color: Chef's Pan w/Cover Size: 3-Quart
This is a new addition to my cookware. I love the size because it can be used in many ways. Good for chili and stews as well as boiling large veggies. And so many other things. I do replace the nonstick hard anodized pans occasionally, like after 5 years or so, especially if it used every day. But it is worth it's weight in gold. ... show more

  • Perfect pan
Color: Chef's Pan w/Cover Size: 3-Quart
Love the size and weight of pan. Not too heavy to use and lift for me. Non-stick coating works well. Having lid is a bonus. Recommend this chef pan.

  • Not a great pan, THE greatest pan
Color: Chef's Pan w/Cover Size: 3-Quart
I ordered tis because a new set of pans I'd gotten did not include a 3 qt sauce pan. I'd never used anodized aluminum but there wasn't much choice and I thought with the shallow shape and sloped sides this could be used for a small stir fry. I was SO RIGHT. This pan can be used for anything, it's great as a saucepan, and the shape makes it good for that as well as almost anything else I can think of offhand. You could cook eggs and bacon in this if you wanted, and it is wonderful for scrambled eggs, the shape and the size make it my go to pan. If I could have only one pan, this would be it. It's also oven proof. It's first use was for a home made chicken pot pie with a biscuit topping. I cooked the chicken and vegetables in the pan, made the sauce in the pan, topped the filling with drop biscuits in the pan, baked it in the pan. One easy cleanup, no casserole dish to soak. ... show more
