Update: 8/9/22: Been over a year now? Rice cooker still going strong. Still makes delicious rice. We lost our measuring cup inside our 60 gallon rice container but never fear! By using my pinky to measure the amount of water needed (measure up to second knuckle line from fingernail), this smart rice cooker can estimate how long it needs to cook the rice for. No regrets! Still worth every penny! Had this rice cooker for over 6 months, and still going strong! It's SO IMPORTANT to read the instructions as it tells you everything you may need to know about handling this expensive cooker. As soon as I changed the settings to English, everything was a breeze. Also, for great lasting rice, turn the warming function down to the lowest heat setting which is 76 or something. Keeps my rice from turning brown and awesome tasting for over 30 hours. Used almost everyday. Also super easy to clean and like a car, you must keep it clean for a long lasting supply of delicious rice, which is super easy bc its mostly just wiping the inside and clearing it of dropped rice grains, ensuring the rubber does not produce mold.. You're buying this cause you eat Rice probably far more than you eat bread or potatos. As a chronic abuser and user of Rice Cookers, this thing will go the distance. And it really does hold rice and keep it fresh, even Brown rice for multiple days. The two digit hour counter on the cooker is straight up flexing on my astonishment still to this day after months of ownership by flashing 70-80, even up to 90 (HOURS), and still holding on to solid tasting rice... regardless of how much rice was left in there (less rice in the cooker, the quicker they get dried up). It's stupid expensive, would never have thought to buy pressure-based rice cooker if not for insistence from my mother. It's not at all expensive if you consider the quality of rice you will be eating and the amount of rice you won't be throwing out. ... show more

It's the right size for a family of 4~5. Brown rice is also cooked smoothly. We live in a family of two, including me. Once I make rice, I eat it for a week.It's convenient and the exterior design is so pretty.

It was delivered in an open box, not an original package. It seems someone purchased it and returned. Default language was already changed, cord is out of place and handwritings on the opened manual.

    • All flash, no intuition.

This rice cooker failed to do the little things well, while making good rice. But not 300$ good rice. My perspective is that I am a decent cook, I like simplicity and intuitive design. I make rice maybe 3 times a week. Size: This rice cooker is way too big for its job. I'm an American so the rice cooker isn't the center of my kitchen. It's another tool I take out of the cabinet. This rice cooker would have to sit on my counter taking up space unused for most of the week. Software: The standard language is Korean. Although you can set it to English, the 300$ machine has no non-volitile memory. Meaning that when you unplug it and put it away, it will talk to you in Korean when you plug it in in a few days. I'm an American who eats rice every once in a while and I don't intend to have this rice cooker plugged in forever like a microwave. For the buyer: Other than these simple oversights, the rice cooker does cook a pretty good pot of rice. But not anything that a 100$ cooker couldn't. For the Manufacturer: This would be a fantastic rice cooker for Korean buyers. If you'd like to enter the American market, consider designing the dimensions so the rice cooker can be stowed in a cabinet. And if the product has a North American electrical socket, the standard language should be set to English. These small oversights make this product difficult to live with. ... show more
