So the hole to put these in has to be 100%exact or it will not mount. The screw holes are only about 1/8 of an inch away from where the clearence of the woofer needs to be. But with that said. I mounted 4 in a box that is front slotted and is 2.6 cubic feet. I know its oversized but she slams harder than my 12 did. Alot tighter bass while not lacking lows at all. I have it being fed 1100 watts RMS at 2 ohms threw an arc audio 1100.1 class D and they have yet to even get hot. They handle above rated power every day. Good buy! Also drove for 1 hr today with them at 80% ish and they did amazing. Update. 2 months after posting my review. I blew one of them. But I was maxing it out on a good song. This little monster hits hard. Replaced the factory sub in my Legacy with this one several months ago. Installation was easy using an adapter to the factory wiring connection and rear deck location. I ordered a dual 4 ohm . The speaker i got was dual 2ohm . Even tho speaker was stamped 4ohm. I checked with multi meter. So i had to only wire one side. in my home sub. Tho i will say after few months I'm super impressed from the sound from this little bugga. Ill over look this QC problem.

Been doing car audio for years, wanted a little boom boom in the daily driver and always wanted to try out some 6.5's...so thought I'd try the CT sounds tropo's. Built box my self, specs are .90cuft net, 11sqin port area tuned to 36hz. Got a CT sounds 400 watt Amp as well and the finished product??? THESE LILL THINGS GET BUSY!!! It's not terrorizing the block by anymeans, but God dam impressive for 400 watts and some 6" subs. They nail the lows better than some 10's and 12's I've had in the past, and I've had everything from soundqubed to sundown to DC audio and everything in-between. A lot of builds under my belt, and have to say it's actually a lill more than I wanted LOL. My only advise, is keep the tune a little higher around 38-40hz...because while mine surprisingly gets busy on the lows, it falls on its face in the higher notes which is shocking. ... show more

Bought this to replace the Bose sub in an 04 silverado 2500. Sounds great! Does the job. Factory box will need some grinding to fit. Stock amp a bit underpowed for this sub but it's awesome.
