So far so good! Used this sub after my Klipsch 2.1 Sub surround failed. I first tried the Dayton sub, and it did not last very long at all. Had to mod the port and enlarge the speaker mounting hole a bit for a perfect fit on the Klipsch enclosure. I purchased the 4 Ohm speaker so I could run it at 8 Ohms. The stock Klipsch speaker is a 6 Ohm Sub. Took a few hours to break in and WOW! It bangs really hard and not too much port noise to my surprise. Not the easiest mod to the Klipsch 2.1 set up but very worth it. Hits lows very good with a hard punch of a much larger speaker and enclosure. Overall, very nice sub-woofer at a very affordable price. Very nice quality. The only gripe is that the speaker wire terminals are not marked positive and negative. Easy to figure out with a small battery... Left terminal positive and right negative. Will update with pics down the road.... ... show more

This little monster hits hard. Replaced the factory sub in my Legacy with this one several months ago. Installation was easy using an adapter to the factory wiring connection and rear deck location. Love the look, but i was ready to install they didn't fit. These are the deepest sitting 6.5 I've ever seen. Check your setting before your return window close. Built amazing, sound is crazy with deep mid bass. You won't regret the buy,but check settings and mount depth before you buy

Been doing car audio for years, wanted a little boom boom in the daily driver and always wanted to try out some 6.5's...so thought I'd try the CT sounds tropo's. Built box my self, specs are .90cuft net, 11sqin port area tuned to 36hz. Got a CT sounds 400 watt Amp as well and the finished product??? THESE LILL THINGS GET BUSY!!! It's not terrorizing the block by anymeans, but God dam impressive for 400 watts and some 6" subs. They nail the lows better than some 10's and 12's I've had in the past, and I've had everything from soundqubed to sundown to DC audio and everything in-between. A lot of builds under my belt, and have to say it's actually a lill more than I wanted LOL. My only advise, is keep the tune a little higher around 38-40hz...because while mine surprisingly gets busy on the lows, it falls on its face in the higher notes which is shocking. ... show more
