I'm fairly content with this. It works fairly well on my horizontal table based belt and the hand held belt sander. On both of those, it seems to clean off most gunk (though I only had success on freshly gunked up belts - my 6+ year old sanding belt that won't die and has a ton of gunk just won't be cleaned). On my disk sander, it reduced the gunk noticeably, but didn't get it very near to a "clean" state like it does on the belts. Pros: works well on belts, for newer/less impacted gunk build ups Cons: I didn't have the greatest success on disks, but it did help some Packaging type: the pictured cleaning stick comes wrapped in clear plastic with a label sticker on it explaining how to use it. I had never heard of this product until very recently. I was a bit skeptical but decided to go for it. I tried it on both my orbital sander and my belt sander. On the orbital sander, the effect is limited, because if you apply too much pressure, the sander slows down and the stick does not remove much. On the belt sander, the effect is GREAT. Many sanding belts fail at the seam, in part because the belt is heating up due to friction. Using the cleaning stick at regular intervals reduces the clogging of the belt, allows you to work on your piece with minimal pressure, and extend the life of your sanding belts.
