The instructions are rather limited in scope. Basically, “ here is a line drawing of what it’s supposed to look like” If you are comfortable with that, they are great bars. If you struggle with IKEA furniture, don’t buy these bars. You just need to lay out the parts on the car and figure out which uprights are left and right, and front and rear, Then figure out which bars are front and rear. Then 12 screws to put it together. I replaced 4 of the M6 Phillips head screws provided with 4 M6 eye bolts, To provide tie-down points. Surprisingly quiet at highway speeds, even with the sunroof open. I read some reviews and was hesitant because there were a lot that had complaints about difficult assembly. my experience was, in fact, the opposite. it's not done in five minutes but with minimal skills it should take no longer than forty minutes. look at the pictures. the pieces only fit one way,

I never write reviews so I'm gonna keep this terse. These are a scam. Save your time and money like I should've and buy the real ones from Subaru. Half the pieces came looking used and it took hours to put together because the screws and screw-holes don't properly line up, just to find out that the mounts don't properly line up with the fixed points on my car. Waste of money and more importantly time.

The item upon arrival was slightly damaged. Im still not sure how, but there was a screw pop and scarring under the plastic wrap that was protecting it for shipping. Aswel, it had to be a manufacturing issue as the screws arnt even long enough to create that kind of effect. While not impressed with the damage it was not worth the return of a full product to me. Installation was extremely straight forward and only took 15 minutes from full boxing to installation on the car. It was steady when mounted and was still happy with it despite the damage. While I still wish that it came without damage, I figured that it wont be long before I put my own dents on it either.

Easy to install and remove, can be stored in the trunk, sleek but strong. Straps (not included) can be securely tightened without any distortion or stress signals.

Not the easiest install, but that is due to Subaru, not the rails. These fit my son’s ‘09 Impreza hatchback using the factory fittings on the car. They have been holding solid and my son has since attached a snowboard rack with speeds of 75 mph.
