For our needs, this 7-qt Crock Pot is just what we need. Its a good size, we do not need a timer, we decided, and it performs as expected. The price point is very good for the brand. Most of the time we use our small appliances until they wear out, so we expect we will have this for many years. We are retired, but we like to cook enough for freezer meals or company. (We had our old crock pot for 14 years and we had a lapse in judgement and ordered another brand with a timer, locking lid and 3 temp settings. And it was 3 times the cost of this one I'm reviewing. See note below.) SO, this Crock Pot that arrived a few days ago got a trial run with chicken wild rice soup cooked on low for 8 hours, and it passed with flying co!ors. Note: The more expensive Kitchenaid slow cooker we bought almost a year ago with more features -- it took us awhile/too long to realize that the low setting was way too low, resulting in ruined and undercooked dinners. We can't return it, so it'll only be used as an occasional extra appliance on the high setting for soups or chili. ... show more

This Crock Pot is great for the single person as well as for the small family. This unit was a replacement over the larger one which finally gave out after more than twenty-five (25) years of service. With the sturdy glazed pot and stainless steel body makes it most durable. Either hand washing the glazed pot or placing it in a dish washer makes cleaning a breeze and with a stainless steel body, all one has to do is wipe it off with a damp cloth. Amazon has this unit priced right and the packing that used to deliver was most protective, plus on time delivery. This is your basic crock pot! Nothing super fancy, great size for big portions, easy to use, cleans well and works well. We have used it for multiple meals and even at hosting occasions. Proper temperature contorl I like the keep warm setting. Nice big pot. Works as it should; simple. However, be aware to take it out of the box in an orientation other than "this side up" on the box, as if you follow "this side up", the lid will fall out and shatter.

I had to get rid of a crockpot that was only 5 years old and had a computerized programmable face. The crockpots computerized face, started acting up then stopped working as did the crockpot. I had to throw it away. As a result, I bought this crockpot instead. Which is programmable thru a knob. I love it. I will use it, until it gives out on me. Its easy to set and it makes food turn out good. No computerized mechanism to fail on me. ... show more

I have just cooked one meal in it so far. It does what its supposed to do for sure. The stoneware is heavy duty. The saddle 0r seat or whatever you call it seemed a little thin walled at first but was fine. Little heat coming out the bottom so check your countertops. Works good I just need to learn how to cook with it. ... show more

Inexpensive and works like a charm. Already used it twice for chicken breasts and spaghetti sauce. Both were delicious. I’d recommend this slow cooker without hesitation to family and friends.
