This walking pad has really made an impact on my health! I work from home so I’m not very mobile for most of the day. This walking pad fits right under my desk, or even stands next to it when I’m not using it, completely out of the way. I love the levels of speed and the ability to control it with the remote. It’s prey comfortable too, I never notice my feet or knees hurting after I come off. I usually alternate walking and sitting each hour, and I’ve notice a big difference in my health.     • It has Bluetooth BLE FTMS protocol!

I was looking for an under-desk treadmill that had BLE FTMS protocol and I can confirm after receiving this and playing around in the nRF Connect app to look at the bluetooth endpoints, it does. It doesn't implement the full specifications though. As far as I can tell, I can start and stop the treadmill and change the speed with the nRF Connect app, but it doesn't seem to include the endpoints that can allow an external app or hardware to read the elapsed time or calories shown on the treadmill display. And of course, the incline is not controllable via FTMS because it's a manual fixed incline. (I haven't changed to the incline feet yet, was giving it a week or two to get used to working at my desk while flat walking. At 2.4mph in a warm room, I do work up a bit of a sweat, doing 2-3 hours one or two times per day). Keep the nRF Connect app (and probably the WellFit app) in mind and don't lose the little remote that comes with the treadmill because otherwise you'll need to use one of the apps to start and control the treadmill, since there are no buttons for control on the actual treadmill itself. Unfortunately, for those in the Garmin ecosystem who what to record their treadmill walks on their watches, garmin hasn't yet implemented BLE FTMS connections. My workaround for that is using a calibrated ant+ (or BLE) footpod paired to the watch, and I've adjusted the calibration so that it tracks the treadmill closely. Interestingly, I noticed that if I step off the treadmill to do something, the elapsed time and distance pause on the display even though the belt is still going, which is a nice touch, and it resumes when I get back on the treadmill. (My footpod also doesn't register the distance in this scenario even though the elapsed time continues and my average speed is reduced on the Garmin watch.) (Other options to get data into a Garmin would be the North Pole Engineering Runn sensor which reads optical belt marks and transmits an ANT+ foopod and a BLE speed/cadence signal, although if you were going to do that you probably wouldn't have; bought a BLE FTMS treadmill.) Eventually, I think/hope Garmin will add FTMS to their watches and then we could potentially set up a workout and have the watch control different speeds. I think this is worth it in the $100-130 price range and hope to get at least 2 years of use out of it with regular silicone lube/maintenance. (Having seen other reports online of various brands having issues with their motors burning out, I felt it was worthwhile to purchase the 2-year extended warranty for about $25 even though I generally do not purchase extended warranties on things.) Arrived in a timely fashion. I had an issue with start button but I contacted the seller and they offered me replacement parts to fix the issues but I’m single and I didn’t think I was up for the task so I sent it back and reordered. Email communication was very helpful.

I just wasted a lot of my time setting this up. The machine will only go at 1.0 speed, whether I use the remote control with brand new batteries or the phone app.. (The phone app is low grade—1.7 stars). Next, they tell you to lubricate it by lifting up the belt and applying oil before you begin, and even though I followed the instructions for how much and where, it came out of the sides onto the treadmill. Great walking pad. I had another one that was too short so I sent it back for this one. Much happier the stride is much longer. I lost my remote and was able to contact customer service and they helped me very quickly. Great customer service!
