After giving this portable ice maker a test run, I ended up returning it within hours. It definitely delivers on its primary function—making good ice quickly—but the noise level was just too much for my upstairs location. Size was another surprise; it took up more counter space than I anticipated. This would be a perfect addition to a kitchen, outdoor entertainment area, or RV where the sound wouldn't be as noticeable and space isn't at such a premium. While it's marketed as "portable," I'd call it more "relocatable"—it works great for vacation homes or RVs, but it's not something you'd want to move around frequently. The machine performed its ice-making duties efficiently during my brief testing period, but ultimately wasn't the right fit for my specific needs. I purchased this maker for our RV about 2 years ago it’s only been plugged in and used 3 times . The first 2 were successful and my family really enjoyed having it around on hot South Florida days. We went to use it over the weekend and it was literally making bricks, skin brought it home and plugged in fresh water the whole nine. And it’s still making bricks. It was a pretty quiet machine and the option of small and large pieces is nice I’d like to replace it but I’m just not sure about the durability with such little use. Maybe they’ve been updated

Works well , I made 5 pounds of ice that I keep in a bag freezer and when I use some I turn on the ice maker a replace. To really get the ice hard enough to not melt when it touches liquid you have to freeze it after the ice is made but only for about 10 minutes. It makes a basket of ice which is a half a pound of ice in like 30 minutes
