If you're looking for a sauna that can be used outdoors, this one can, with a few caveats. It's got 600D fabric, which is weatherproof and waterproof, although only time will tell if all the seams are waterproof. I wouldn't leave it outside permanently, but a few weeks at a time should be ok. It will fade if exposed to the sun for extended periods. Also, the internal frame is aluminum, which is both sturdy and rust resistant. But it's better to use this indoors, for a variety of reasons. First, the ambient temperature is a big factor. If it's freezing outside, this will take forever to warm up - and it might not ever get hot enough. But if it's a hot summer, it will heat up much faster outside. The disadvantage to using it indoors is that the steam can do damage to your house (warp a floor, cause mold, etc). The windows sacrifice privacy a little bit, but allow you to view your surroundings, and also watch TV or something like that. The other advantage to this style is how tall it is - most of these portable saunas are short, you have to bend over or squat to get in. However, the larger internal volume means it takes longer to warm up. If you're looking for something portable, I prefer the kind that pop-up. I’ve always wanted to have a sauna at home but the prices to install one is so far out of my price range. This is so affordable in comparison! It works great and really can get you sweating. I love that you don’t have to have it up all the time and have to redesign your house or outside to use it.
