This plant arrived on a freezing day, but I put it inside about one minute after it was delivered. It was wrapped in paper inside a box, and it had a heating pad wrapped around the pot. The plant looks robust and healthy. It’s much better looking in real life than the online pictures suggest. It is about 15 inches high, and the foliage is thick and healthy, without any dry leaves or unusual spots that would cause concern. The soil was wet on the bottom and in the middle, and dry at the top. It needs to be repotted, but that should (and will) be done after the plant adjusts to my home’s environment, which will take two to four weeks. Right now it is in a mostly sunny area, and I mist it daily and water according to its needs. I will move the plant to a new location one or two weeks after repotting it. I expect this plant to thrive because it arrived in excellent condition. If you buy a plant online, or even locally, be patient with it and give it lots of TLC so it can adjust to your home. Shipping is traumatic to plants, and so is repotting and moving it to a different location in your home. I will update this review of the plant fails to thrive or survive. Omg, this plant is gorgeous 😍! I've always wanted a Chinese evergreen for its vibrant colors, and Costa Farms did not disappoint! I literally just opened it up and put it in a planter and see how healthy and beautiful it is? (It didn't come with the white planter you see in the photo.) It was well wrapped and the plant is so healthy. I love we it already! This is my second plant from Costa Farms on Amazon. Both have been positive experiences. Highly recommend! ... show more

It arrived in a timely manner and was well boxed. It was in perfect condition. However, I bought another plant from a big box store that was on clearance from Costa Farms that wasn't as healthy looking. When I went to repot it, I found it was potted with 3 plastic nursery pots in the soil. It was a struggle to get the roots out of each of them and I did break a lot of them. I still don't know if they will be OK. So long story short, I checked the one from Amazon and it had the 3 plastic nursery pots too! It's all re-potted again, now I'm hoping it will be OK. I received the plant when it was 10 degrees .not sure how long the package was on the front steps. Slightly damaged..too cold..they did have a heating pac in the box. The plant recuperated!!

Actually, I love the plant especially the color. BUT, even after following all of the instructions, it dies! I bought the first plant in July 2022. Even though it had some sick leaves upon arrival, it did well for several weeks, then started going downhill. I bought the second plant July 2023; again it did well for a month or so. Now it’s dying. I put the second plant in a different pot and used new soil. I have other house plants from Costa Farms and they are beautiful and thriving. I have done all I can to save the plant, it continues to decline. I guess I won’t buy another one. It’s a waste of money. ... show more

This plant arrived in perfect condition and actually a little bigger than I thought it would be. It was wrapped with care for shipping. The dirt covered with saran wrap, a thick doll rod/stake was put in it to protect the plant during shipment. There was also a warming pad in the box with the plant. At the same time I ordered this plant I also ordered 3 smaller ones from Costa Farms. All four of the plants I ordered arrived in perfect condition and well taken packaged for shipment. After the holidays I do need to order a few more plants and I WILL be making sure my order in Amazon will be coming from Costa Farms. ... show more
