I use this 2-6 times a day (about 4 times daily on average). Build quality is pretty high, with real glass and good quality steel. Plastic is on the handle and underside of platform only, so no plastic parts touch the water. The spout pours water in a very even stream that I find easy to control both in direction and flow rate. Using cold water from my tap and plugged into my apartment's 125 VAC socket, it consistently boils 0.5 liters of water in 2:40, or 1.7 liters of water in 6:40. Lid opens slowly enough that there is no risk of flinging water like my previous model did. The lid is also insulated enough to avoid burning your hand, though it still gets warm when boiling water. Keep warm feature works very well, but it **can be disabled**, which I appreciate since I don't usually need it (press button 3 sec to turn on/off, found in manual). You can brew tea directly in the kettle after boiling the water if that's your preference (extremely convenient). However, this will result in some discoloration after weeks of use. You can clean the discoloration off with hot vinegar and water every few months to avoid excessive tea color. If you use only with filtered water (not brewing in-kettle), it will stay almost spotlessly clean for months even with daily use. ... show more

I’ve been using an all-plastic T-Fal kettle for many, many years, and it was time for an upgrade. This time I was looking for a glass kettle (no plastic) with temperature control so I can properly brew my favorite jasmine green tea. This kettle ticked all my boxes, and now after having used it I have to say I’m very impressed and happy. The kettle is very well designed and works very well, an it allows me to brew my green tea to the perfect 180 degrees. It will also hold extra water at that temperature in case I want a second cup. Nice. My one tip with this or any electric kettle is to use some form of filtered water and not tap water — not only will you avoid any lime, etc. buildup on the heating element, but your tea or coffee will taste much better. In addition to brewing my hot tea, I’m using the kettle to make some incredible iced tea. If you’d like to try my simple and very healthy (and cost effective) iced tea, just heat six cups of water to 180 degrees and add seven teabags of FGO Organic Jasmine Green tea (see link below) to a glass pitcher. Pour water over the bags and let it steep for 10 minutes, remove the bags, and when the tea cools put it in the fridge and when it’s cold you’ll have some of the best-tasting, healthiest iced tea you’ve ever had. It’s much more mild than typical black tea, and it has a slight taste of jasmine so you really don’t even need to add anything at all to the tea as it’s just delicious on its own. So no calories, organic, and healthy green tea. Try it, you’ll love it. I loved this kettle when it came in March 2021 and would have given it all 5 stars. I loved the different temperature settings and the keep warm setting. I was very disappointed on August 14, 2022 when the kettle suddenly started boiling the water even though it was set at the lowest temperature. I could only get it to stop boiling by pulling the plug. It was lucky I was in the room at the time. I'm going with a different brand. Update: I contacted Cosori customer service. They were efficient and required a minimum of information concerning the purchase. Within two weeks they had sent me a new kettle. I regretted the first 1 star review written when the old kettle stopped working and before I contacted the company. I decided on 4 stars - I took off one star bcs it didn't last long. Having a new kettle, I remember how much I like this kettle. (My sister and a neighbor have also bought this kettle after seeing it at my house.) ... show more

Both my wife and I make tea daily; she makes iced tea, I make hot tea, and we also use it to help boil large pots quickly (dividing the water between the pot and the kettle). It's quick to boil, taking about 40 seconds per cup (so a full pot takes about five minutes to boil). The controls are simple, and having multiple temperature options has been more useful than I initially thought it would. It's good at avoiding a hot, empty pot automatically. I also enjoy how it keeps water at the chosen temperature for up to an hour in case you don't return to grab it immediately. Like many similar pots, it has the safe-and-easy-to-use raised power connector in the center of the circular base. This means it's never plugged in while filling (safe), but there doesn't need to be any fussing with plugs after it's full (easy) as you just place it on the base to power it.
