I decided to build my second PC back in March and snagged the Corsair MP700 PRO 2TB SSD Let me tell you, this thing is blazing fast! My games load up so quickly now that I barely have time to sip my water. I Installed this into my new Ryzen 9900X PC and the benchmark speeds from this drive are amazing. Its been installed 9 months now without any issues, and while I had initial concerns about heat on these newer drives, this drive has been running very cool. Compared to the competitors drives, this drive offers the best bang for your buck. Plenty of storage, super fast speeds, and a great price. but the software… Corsair, what happened? The interface looks like it time-traveled from the early 2000s, and it’s pretty bare-bones. You’d think with all the PCIe 5.0 wizardry, the software would be up to par, but nope, it’s stuck in a Y2K time warp. All in all, the SSD is a beast: fast and reliable, runs cool. However the outdated software is a definite drawback. If Corsair can update its software suite to be on pair with that of the WD SN850X, then it would be an even bigger steal for its price. ... show more

Reviewed in the United States on January 16, 2026 by Ordered from floradix and the seal was broken on the box not sure whether I should trust it or not which is a shame because food products can't be returned I made a video of me opening my box and the seal was already broken on the beet crystals this is a great brand but it worries me that the seal was broken.

I installed this in a new computer build four months ago for video editing and rendering, and I'm happy to say that with this SSD and motherboard combination (which uses Gen 5 PCIe), everything renders quickly and without issue. Certainly the fastest "drive" I've ever owned! The system boots quickly regardless of which OS I boot into. Just built a new PC. Specifications: AMD 7800x3d Gigabyte Auros Pro X x670e bios version F21 64 GB G. Skill Trident Neo Z5 6000 CL30 AMD EXPO Gigabyte RTX 4080 I'm running the MP700 Pro in the Gen 5 NVME slot using the MB NVME heatsink (which is really good). I quickly ran a few tests and its pretty much the fastest SSD I have ever tested (consumer grade non-server class PCIe slot card). Temps are fine as long as you have a good MB with a heatsink for the NVME slot (this drive definitely requires some type of cooling). Highest recorded temp I got was 55 C during sustained writes during the benchmark while average temp was around 45 to 46 C. I'm in a pretty cool room (ambient temperature of the room is 21 C). Highest temp I ever noticed it get to was 60 C during very long heavy use. Published operating temperature listed by Corsair is 70 C. Very satisfied with the product! ... show more

Well, it's obvious. This drive has some incredible read speeds. I wasn't quite able to achieve advertised write speeds, but for my needs, it's completely fine. The hard thing with these gen5 drives is you 100% need a quality heatsink. Stock heatsinks on motherboards just won't cut it if you have any hope of getting near advertised speeds. It runs VERY hot and will thermal throttle very quick. However, I ended up pairing this drive with a thermalright HR-09 and it helped me stabilize the thermal performance greatly. It will still hit 70 degrees (Celsius) under intense stress tests for benchmarks but I was at least getting much better speeds with a better heatsink. Lesson I learned here is for gaming purposes, I don't need a Gen5 drive and in fact I actually like my Gen4 drive (MP700 Elite) because it runs cooler and gives me more consistent benchmarks. This drive is clearly intended for someone who has applications doing some crazy reads. I gave this 4 stars because while the performance is good, the heat and tinkering it requires to unlock this drives full potential is a bit of con in my books. Not to mention the heatsink you will need for this in order for it to run properly. ... show more
