I purchased this after my Shark Rocket's motor finally burned out. So my review will be a comparison of the two. The Shark definitely had more absolute power. However, that statement doesn't tell the whole story. The Chebio C8 (compared to the Shark Rocket) is much lighter. It is immediately noticable. Another thing that caught my attention immediately is the sound. The C8 is so much quieter. With the Shark I would always wear my noise cancelling earbuds when vacuuming, bc holy cow is that thing loud. The C8 doesn't feel too loud at all. It's very pleasant in that reguard. The shark did have a bigger dust bin, but only bc it was so much bigger in general. While it was also a stick vacuum, it was corded and almost double the weight. Which makes a huge difference with maneuverability. It makes it possible to do so much more than I would do with my Shark. And most importantly it makes me want to do those different things! I got rid of all of the cartpeting in my house. However I can easily vacuum all of my hardwood and laminate floors on the min power setting. The min setting even cleans all of my rugs throughout the house! I do have a cat with pretty long hair and haven't had hair get tangled at all yet. The bin does need emptied more often than the rocket, as mentioned before, but it's not an issue in my eyes bc it's so much easier to empty. The fact that Chebio has spare filter and batteries in stock on Amazon makes a huge difference when comparing them to other companies. And even when comparing them against other brands with batteries in stock, Chebio spare batteries are almost half the cost of other brands. I would recommend grabbing an extra battery. This isn't bc this one is bad or anything like that. I recommend a spare battery for any cordless vacuum you pick up. Once you own one, you'll understand why. It's different than a cord. You could forget to charge it, you could need to use it longer than you expected, etc .. But all in all for the price and the value you receive, I would def recommend this vac. One note: it does not self stand. You have the mount with all the features you want built in .. but I'd you want to stop while you're vacuuming, you'll have to set it down or lean it. This is mostly because the head of this vac has so much flexibility that it will fall over. But just be aware if that is a needed feature. (For those wondering about the free battery thing. It's legit. They first sent me the incorrect battery and I was kind of sceptical if it was actual a mistake and thought maybe it was a scam. But after letting them know the wrong one was sent, they didn't hesitate to ship out the correct battery. Which is awesome. Their customer service is very responsive and helpful!)

This was easy to put together, charged halfway when I opened it, so I could use it pretty quickly. On max, the suction is comparable with my corded Eureka. The battery only lasts about 25 minutes when used in 'max' so expect a 4 hour full-charge time the first deep clean you do with this unit, but after that you can get about an hour with it on the lower setting, which is more than enough time to keep up with my Savannah and Frenchie on the daily in our 3000 s/f rambler. I can't wait to use it on furniture, too...it's so light and the swivel is awesome for in-between long-legged barstools. The light is great, and it just about lies flat to go under most footed chairs and ottomans or sofas. It takes up very little space and runs really nice and quiet. I have hardwoods and carpet, with tile in bathrooms and the attachments are easy to install and change out. The canister is tiny, so needs frequent emptying, but is really easy to empty and wipe out so I think keeping this looking nice will be super easy. Because of all the things listed above, I think this is a great unit for the price in functionality, versatility and pick up speed. I am really happy with this purchase.
