Did not remove fine particles. Because the water goes into the vacuum and leaves through the grey part of the body, it just forces the water to the ground where you are trying to clean, which suspends the dirt nearby. You started with everything on the ground, ready to be suctioned out but then you end up with it all suspended again waiting for your pump to remove it or for it to settle again. My pool has sand (from sand pump user error) and dust from neighborhood construction. When I lifted the vacuum out of the water, any of the sand/dust it did capture drained right back into the pool. Could be an okay product of you just have a few sunken leaves. Also, extension rod was not long enough. I have an 18' x 5' round above ground.
