Live in Las Vegas where there's lots of calcium deposits and debris from the hard water here. When summer comes around, regardless if my pool's water chemistry is balanced, there's still these pesky white flakes floating around. When my pump is off, the white flakes settle to the bottom of the pool. I've used a pool robot to clean the bottom, but the flakes would scatter whenever the robot came too close due to the water currents so the robot wasn't that effective although it did pick up dirt, some of the white flakes and leaves. After 1 1/2 years, my robot died and I thought I'd try something new. Well, I saw this and thought I'd give it a try. Yes, it looks like a dust buster from the 1980s, yes, you do need to do some work by "vacuuming" the pool floor, BUT, it's GREAT at picking up those settled white flakes and you can push the vacuum slowly without disturbing the white flakes. The motor is a bit heavy and it can be a little awkward to position the vacuum properly against the walls and in between crevices, BUT it so does the job very efficiently. The first day, I picked up a ton of the white flakes, MULTIPLES of what my robot could do. I was so surprised by the performance and ease that I had to write a review, which I don't do often (but should). The great thing about doing this manually, is that I know that these white flakes aren't clogging up my filters and being recirculated in the pool. I've used this about 4 times and my pool is so much cleaner, free of those pesky white flakes. Some have complained that the pole isn't long enough? Well, they do allow you to put your own pole on the unit so if you have a long pool, then use it. I appreciate that they had an included pole so I don't have to keep switching back and forth the poles. Hoping that this last a few years, but recognize that the motor does such a great job sucking up debris, that the lifespan may depend on how much and what it sucks up.

The device works great for quickly cleaning debris in small pools, with good battery life and decent suction. My only complaint is that the locks between the tube segments are a bit weak when extended, so if you press hard while sweeping the floor, the tube can slip, making it harder to clean the deeper parts of the pool.

I’ve had this Cordless Handheld Pool Vacuum (2025 version) for a little over a month now, and I’m genuinely happy with the product. I got it as a gift after my old vacuum (the kind that hooks up to the filter with hoses) bit the dust — and this has been a major upgrade. I use it in my 16x10 above ground pool, and depending on how much debris is in there, I can get a few solid vacuum sessions out of one full charge. The suction is strong (16 Gal/Min is no joke), and the dual-phase cleaning system really helps pick up both fine and larger debris with ease. It’s lightweight, easy to use, and totally hassle-free — no hoses, no filters to mess with, just charge and go. This thing has made pool maintenance so much simpler. I’d definitely recommend it and would buy it again without hesitation. Great value and performance!

Where to begin with this nightmare.... Well, it came packed well. Thats as good as this review gets. After reading instruction manual first, the vacuum was assembled as directed. I then charged it ...for 5 and a half hrs until the LED turned blue. I fully submerged the vacuum in the pool until i saw no more air bubbles coming from it. Before the head reached the pool floor, it turned off. I switched it off, repeated the directions, turned the vac on, and just as the head touched the floor, off again. Stubborn, i continued this cycle until (for reasons unknown to me) the vac stayed on long enough to actually reach the pool floor. I eagerly pushed the head toward a small pile of muck. As the head cruised over said pile, i saw thick orange clouds of muck being shot from the vents on both sides on the vac. This is with the small particulate sponge filter installed, which im guessing is to to prevent....small particulate from escaping the debris bin... Hmmm... I turn the vac off and empty the bin. I then double check the manual. Yip. Sponge is installed as directed. Reassemble the vac and try again. Again, after 10 minutes of holding my mouth just right, i finally succeed in getting the head on the pool floor without it spontaneously shutting down. Again, everything the head moves over gets blown right back into the pool. I turn the vac off, empty the bin and remove the sponge filter. Get the vac to stay on after a dozen attempts, and get more nasty orange clouds jetting from the machine. I decide i just need to try this thing tomorrow. Tomorrow comes. I submerge the vac and hit the switch. Nothing. Move the switch up and down repeatedly. Nothing. No motor sounds. No power LED. Nothing. ZERO. I pull the machine fully out of the water to move the switch to off position and VROOM! Power! Hurry up! Put it in the water! Power goes off an inch before it hits the water. False alarm. I pull it out again. VROOM! W...T....H ...? I spend another half hour of the only life I'll ever live, jacking with this vac just to never hear another sound out of the motor. I highly suggest you continue scrolling if looking for a pool vac. Regardless of the glowing reviews, etc., this thing never worked correctly from minute one. Amazon really must get on top of these review farms. I can no longer trust ANYTHING as far as an Amazon rating or review. This one.....however....is genuine. Which is probably why it will never appear on the site.🤣😂

I love it! Charging time is about an hour. my 15 ft pool takes about half an hour to completely clean. . it picks up large and small items, from leaves to bugs and even fine particles like dirt and pollen. Cleaning is simple and quick pull the lower portion off and remove the basket with a simple opening device on top hose it off and you're done . The twin telescoping handle allows for grate reach and good adjustability . The suction is more than I would have expected . Once full of water it stays planted on the bottom fairly well. I found it's a little easier to use when you're in the pool with the device but it is doable from the outside . Two issues might be a concern. First, the plug used to protect the charging port leaks. I'm concerned about corrosion in there as others have mentioned . so after every use I get the compressor out and blast the area completely dry. the second issue is ...when pulling it out of the water it's very heavy because it's full of water. So if you're working from outside the pool you've got to slowly lift it out of the water and you're reaching. Other than that it's a wonderful device that I would highly recommend.

We had this vacuum for our above ground pool and it worked well for the two months that we had it. The bottom of our pool wasn’t smooth and it still worked well to get dirt off the bumps. I added quilt batting to it to get fine dirt off the bottom since you cannot vacuum to waste. The only reason I gave it three stars is it only lasted two months before the plastic broke where it connects to the handle to where it is no longer usable.
