Sometimes I don't get the containers I send my husband to work with- right back or at all. So, I like to send my husband with items that he can throw away. These are great containers for any liquid or salads that I make him- especially because they come with lids. One of the first times we used these containers, my husband wanted a baked potato heated up in the microwave. Because of the size of the potato- he had the container in the microwave for around 8 minutes and even after that amount of time- while the containers were hot, they did not feel as if they could melt. I only say this because some containers like these, that I have had before, seem to look close to melting (or do melt). However, after long amounts of time in the microwave- being heated- these containers did not feel as if they were melting or even could melt. I don't know if any other people have ever had the experience of putting heat onto plastic and when it starts to melt, first it gets hot and a little thinner. These containers did not do that after even a lot of time in the microwave. These are the exact containers I wanted, ones that I almost always get when I order a small wonton soup from a Chinese restaurant. Perfect for food, and even crafts I want to store, reusable if I want them to be (and if I feel like cleaning them)- I won't be too worried if my husband doesn't happen to bring them home (after I use them to pack his lunches). I always use these containers for leftovers, food gifting, "doggy bags", or meal prep. When they're stained or don't look good enough for food, I even poke a hole in the bottom, and I use them like pots for seed growing. I give them several lives before ending in the trash. I have purchased 3 sizes before, and this 16oz one is the best in my opinion. As a matter of fact, it's the one I finished first, even if I actually wash and recycle the containers several times. This size is great for soup or stew for one person, and it's easier to thaw two of these than the double size. The quality on these particular containers is as good as it can be, and there are 48 at $15 which makes them just 31c each. I think it's a deal.

The 16oz containers are perfect for storage and prep. I have other sizes that while useful are not as versatile as this size. I love storing vegetable prep with large volumes, soup and other items I make. The container takes heat well, it does not warp the plastic. The lids seal well, I shook it water back and forth, no leaks. Only down side is that the lids get stuck awkwardly when opening. This makes it annoying to open liquids because of potential splashes. However Im just extra careful and have been fine. Overall these deli containers are an absolute must if you like to cook.

These are used all over food service b/c they are sturdy, inexpensive, freezable, reusable and air and water tight. They are just as useful at home ... all over the house for food, crafts, workshop. You can write on them with a Sharpie which will stay put until you decide to give it a little scrub to get the ink off. Dishwasher safe too.

I love these containers for food prep and storage and use them all the time. I had not used this brand; however they seem to be fine, with the lids securely attaching to the containers. They are priced well. I would purchase again.
