I love these brand of tools. I discovered them when my Milwaukie impact ratchet died after 6 months of use and someone recommended this brand to me. I was first shocked that it was not only half the price but came with the charger and two batteries. I then bought the impact drill, impact wrench and now the grinder. The grinder is amazing. I have always wanted a cordless grinder but they were too expensive. Catching this one on sale with a $10 off coupon landed me under $100 for a 20v tool and just like all the other 20v tools, comes with both a charger and a battery. Now I have three 20v batteries and 3, 20v chargers so I never run out of power. I have had my impact ratchet over 2 years now and its still going strong and my other tools also work amazing. Love the 1/2" impact wrench for getting off lug nuts and other difficult bolts. Zips them off like butter. Last weekend used my grinder to cut out my floor pans in my 1970 mustang. Worked amazing and I didn't have to fight with the cord the whole time. If your on the fence, just buy it and try it, you won't be disappointed.

I have purchased 4 or 5 Kimo tools now and while the tools themselves are fine the customer service does not follow through with promises. Purchased this tool that should have come with 2 batteries. However, it came with one. I contacted the seller was sent the following message. Dear Customer, Thank you so much for your kind support. Sorry for the batteries are out of stock now, we will arrange for you soon once we have restock, is ok for you? The time may be 5-7 weeks. Or we can send you $20 Amazon Gift card instead the battery. Which one do you prefer? :) Wish you have a nice day! Best regards, Tina/KIMO customer support I never received anything. After follow up I was told that I could expect the gift card within 5 days. Again nothing. I emailed Kimo once more and have never received further communication. When a seller offers a certain thing (2 batteries) and you purchase their product, you should expect to receive the items you purchased. I would have been happy with a gift card toward my next purchase but that was too much for the Kimo team to follow through on.

This KIMO 20V cordless angle grinder w/4.0aH Li-Ion battery & charger is a real disappointment. This cordless tool isn’t like any other cordless tool you’ve ever had your hands on. No, this baby wasn’t made to work with the ‘factory battery’ that came with this tool. To get the battery ‘snapped’ into the grinder, I finally had to tilt the battery 2 to 3° left or right because there was NO way this battery was going to slide straight in at the opening with ease and snap in place like all other tools. Once it was in about ¼”, I had to forcibly (a good guess would be, it took about 35-40 psi) push it into the slot to where it almost gets you to the snap-in position you want to hear. Now, to get it to ‘lock’ in the snap mode, you have to exert so much more extra force to push it the final ¾” to hear the snap click. Once it was in the grinder, it fired right up but I didn’t really have the strength to try it out on anything at that moment. Now, to get the battery out just be prepared to go thru another kind of hell. You have to push down on the disengagement button and ‘hold it down’, because it really didn’t disengage the battery like ALL other battery operated tools, where as they pop the battery out just a little where you can get a hand on it to pull it out. No, not with this KIMO grinder, you do not have that luxury. You have to hold the button down while applying so much force you really wouldn’t believe it, unless you had to try and pull it out yourself. And, once it’s out you can pat yourself on the back that you had the will, strength, patience and the endurance to see the job through of getting a simple battery in and out of a cordless tool.

Grinder worked for about 2 charges and tried to charge,doesn't work now. Never used it very much. Don't know if it's the tool or battery.

I purchased this Kimo brand tool on a whim after trying to find something under $100 that seemed of decent quality after looking and comparing about 5 others. This one got the best reviews by far in all aspects so I decided to throw it in my watch list in case the price were to ever drop and I get enticed to finally get it. Low and behold a couple days later it goes on sale so I impulsively ordered it. Got it the same day, tested it for a good hour on many different projects I'm working on and I was honestly surprised how well it worked compared to my Makita! I would actually rate it as equal excluding Makita having high amp and extended capacity batteries. If your looking for a quality feeling, inexpensive and good grinder, this guy right here is definitely it. The reviews don't lie, it was not just given positive reviews for promotions, this tool truly delivers and I am surely glad I made the plunge to get it! Once this company comes out with high amp and capacity batteries I will be sure to buy a couple!
