We bought this ice maker as a replacement for a broken high end kitchen aid ice maker. We were a little wary of buying an ice maker that was on the low end of prices. It was easy to install, but be aware that if you don’t have a drain below the ice maker, you need to purchase a drain pump for it and
then potentially buy connections to fit to that. You can find small inexpensive ones out there for under $50. Once I had the drain pump set up, it was smooth sailing. The ice making process is a bit loud when it drops the ice, but that doesn’t bother us as it’s tucked away in our laundry room. It does make ice every few hours or so because the temperature inside continually melts the ice slowly. I think that’s how our kitchen aid worked too, but it was quieter. Also the ice drops down with the blocks still connected. Some of it breaks up when it drops, but usually you have to use the scoop to break them up a bit to scoop the ice out. The scoop itself is big and doesn’t fit very nicely into most glasses. All that being said, for the price, these are all minor details that don’t detract from the reliable ice making that you get, and we are pleased with our purchase.

Decent unit, a lot of work to use on a daily basis. I bought this so I wouldn't have to buy 2-7lb bags of ice every morning for my work cooler and figured this would work great. It does make the 2-7lb bags of ice by 5am no problem at all turning it on at 6pm the evening before. But a 5 gallon jug las
ts 2-3 days tops, the storage bin isn't cooled so you gotta take the ice out every hour or so or it'll start melting. The ice bin fills up with water for some reason I'm assuming just leaks when making the ice so I have to use the scooper 2-3 times an evening to get the water out. It's a lot of work but it'll make your ice, I'm most likely gonna pay the extra money and get a nice one that has a larger storage bin that is cooled so ice doesn't melt.

It does make ice but not in the fastest way. Definitely don’t expect to get tons of ice in the first few hours but otherwise is a great addition if you need more ice!

Came with a little damage. Seller responded immediately and provided remedy. Overall it works good and noise level is acceptable. Ice can melt quickly, but does not excessively use water.

We have hard water and it’s killed every refrigerator ice maker we’ve had Use 5 gallon water jugs on this ice maker We make a couple bags every 3 days It doesn’t keep ice, but if you stay with it, it works just fine

Makes ice fast, needs a separate drain pump

Unless you have a drain directly under the ice machine you will need an additional drain pump. The thickness gauge of the ice actually works and is very nice. Overall happy with the purchase.

The machine is well made and makes ice quickly. My problem is that the ice must be removed as the ice bin is not much above ambient temp and the ice melts fairly quickly

We have been having issues with our ice maker for a while and buying ice was getting expensive and annoying. Upon reading a lot of reviews we went with product. After about a month it has been a blessing. We only run it 2 days a week and harvest the ice. Works well and fast. Also, we are a fan of the
actual ice cube produced. Would definitely recommend. We purchased a cheaper ice maker prior but returned it also immediately. Definitely not what we needed. We are drinkers! This machine is in a different league than the $100 machines and worth the extra money.

Amount of ice way over estimated

The ice maker itself is good, it makes great ice. However, I cannot overstate how off the numbers are, hence the 3 stars. The ice bin itself doesn't hold anywhere near 33 lbs. The bags that are shipped with the machine seem around 8 lbs, and a full bin overflows a single bag, so it feels like the bin
could possibly hold 10 lbs if you're lucky. 100 lbs/day would mean it's producing 33 lbs every 8 hours, which it doesn't come anywhere close to that. I wouldn't have cared, but the 100 lbs/day was one of the selling points for me, and it doesn't even produce half that. I bought it to fill my cold plunge every other morning, so the fact that it underproduces so heavily is a real pain point. If you're just a family that uses a lot of ice for drinks and things day to day, this'll do the trick and do it well, but if you're looking for a machine that actually makes the amount advertised, I'd keep looking.

Our first ice maker never produced ice. Contacted the company. Fast response and quickly sent a replacement. Instructions are clear. I have to say, I never post a review, but it’s rare that a company wants to do what’s right. We obviously received a fluke but the replacement works as expected. Kudos
