As a toaster it works well. I have found that in order to toast both sides evenly I need to flip the slice over about half way through the cooking. And I have to adjust the cooking time depending on what i am toasting — plain bread toasts a lot quicker than English muffins, and you have to watch them and learn timing, don't go by what the instructions say. I got this toaster oven so I could make four slices of toast instead of two and for the compact size to fit on my counter. I didn’t need any bells and whistles like a lot of these products have and this fits my needs. The only issue I have is that the timer knob and the temperature knob are the same color (black) and it’s difficult to see when you’re setting the controls. For the price it is fantastic. I have a few issues with the spacing of the platforms but the rotisserie function works quite well and is great for turning out roasted chicken. I will say the times print on the front I haven't found to be accurate, the body is a little narrow, the handle doesn't go flush so if it's on the counter it sits up while you're trying to deal with the interior. ... show more

I was prepared for the worst, being this is one of the cheapest toaster ovens you can buy. I braced for the possibility that the inside could rust after it's first use like my last toaster from B&D did, but that didn't happen ! I've been using it every day since it arrived two weeks ago and it's staying clean. The other thing I like is that it heats evenly with no cold spots. Both heating elements stay a solid orange all the way across. The operation is simple and straight forward. It's so light weight that it feels cheap when you pick it up but when it's in place on the counter top it's door and rack operations are sturdy. One thing I noticed, when I first used it, the door didn't want to rest all of the way down when open. It wanted to spring back closed. So I very lightly forced it all of the way open where the handle rested on the counter when fully open. Nothing broke and it works like it should now. I used it for the first time to make frozen breakfast sandwiches. Set to broiler and the timer to 20 minutes. Once I opened the packages, I put the bagels on the bottom toaster rack. The sausage and egg patties I put in the broiler pan on top. Kept an eye on the bagels they cooked quick. Turned the patties over once and within 15 minutes, sandwiches were well heated thru, bagels toasted, and everything yummy. I purchased this for my 75 year old cousin who lives alone. It isn't user friendly for him. The door does not close flat to take food out, crumb tray is not easy to get to and knob for baking was confusing to him. He thought it had to stay on bake and tried to figure out temperature.
