His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark. In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come.

  • Perfect enclosure for a 10' diameter (30" depth) relax pool Perfect enclosure for a 10' diameter (30" depth) relax pool
Color: Gray Size: 15 x 13ft Style: Contains Pfas
So you'll see this review for the other products I purchased to add this little piece of paradise to my backyard. I have just retired from the military, and of course I started doing all the work around the house that I never had the time or energy for. When I saw I had a patch of yard room enough to put something, I found this 10' diameter Intex pool. It came well packaged, was a typical pain in the rear to put together (I don't read instructions until after the fact.../flex). Overall, it went together nicely. Filled it up, got the pump working (the pump is subpar...it'll work for now but I will upgrade sooner rather than later). I got the 10' Intex solar cover (solar - ha, funny...blue bubble wrap is solar now?) and it fits well. It helped keep the leaves and twigs out. If he adds some warmth to the water, I don't know. I live in central Texas. It's going to be warm regardless. So the pool is great. 30" deep, perfect for just sitting. I had a small camping table I put next to it. I got an HB Illumination speaker to pair to my phone. It's meant to float but the sound sucks when it's in the water. I added the Coleman 15x13 screened tent canopy a few days later. It fits perfectly. Enough room to cover the camping table and pump as well as enclose the little step stool ladder I have. The Coleman tent is easy to assemble - but MAKE SURE THE POLES ARE ON THE OUTSIDE! I read that review earlier and brain dumped it. Then I was cursing the existence of humanity when I got to the last pole and couldn't get it to snap into place. Yea - poles on the outside, poles on the outside...poles on the outside. It has two zipper entrances and like I said - it covers the pool perfectly. Keeps the bugs out. Get a camping LED light/lantern that emits the yellow/bug blind light and you're set to spend your warm summer evenings sitting in a pool, listening to crickets and frogs (or in my city case - traffic), and just relax the stress away. So unless I modify this review - I strongly suggest anyone considering this pool and/or the Coleman screen tent to buy. Good purchases. Addendum: For the Coleman, it comes with the small metal stakes. These will be fine if you are a setup/teardown user (ie camping, weekend use). For me, these would only fit the holes in the pole bases...but each pole base also had a fabric loop. I bought some glow in the dark tent stakes for these fabric loops to add more stability as I don't intend to take this down unless I move the pool. It does come with ropes on each pole so you can stake those in for even more stability, but I am foregoing that for now. If I need to use them I'll update to report how it goes. ... show more

  • I agree this screen room rocks.. super easy to assemble
Color: Gray Size: 15 x 13ft Style: Contains Pfas
Very nice size I am 5ft 6 in tall and I have to tip toe with my arm completely stretched to reach the middle interior ceiling I would say it is 9 ft center, or close to it. I also am able to stand up without bending over all the way to each side.. anyway I did a video that I will post if can.. this was really easy to put up and enough room for anything, add tarps on outside with d rings or hiking clips and a large tarp if you want added rain protection zippers are nice metal and there is a toggle at the doors to hold them open.. I think for 69.00 it is a great canopy and with tax will be 74.00 and if u take care of it will last I plan to put a tarp floor and I am glad it doesn't have a floor as I think it would be a pia to try to shake the sand out as I plan to use this mostly at the beach and will carry it in the back of my volvo when I go to my sister's house or sons house for a quick shelter... I will try a playpen for my two small dogs I think will work great.. and like the space for keeping all my towels and clothing and chairs and food etc inside ... This I think is made well and if taken care of will last ... I will spray it with coating and think a gallon of water tied to the tie downs will be enough for me. I put it up by myself I am 62 and it was a hot day here in Florida I think 85 maybe hotter.. I used a bungee cord once I got it down and wrapped to keep it together while I placed it back into the bag which fit perfectly sideways across the back of my 940 volvo wagon... I will update this review if for any reason it fails.. I also have a large bright green and white striped umbrella and other accessories that will coordinate with the nice colors of this. This will make it very hard for a thief to just reach over and steal something... Very excited to have this I have wanted something just like it for a long time... I can put all the fishing gear in here as well... tons of use... i am trying to add a video of the tent, it is big and roomy.. i should have pointed out the two zipped openings.. as they are nice with a toggle strap to hold them open. also, this week going to the beach with my sister and we are planning on wednesday and setting up the canopy so i can add some photos if the video isn't that great.. there is also a tie on each of the sections to tie it down if you want to but you don't have to.. i would if there is a wind.. stakes are normal size steaks so best to get beach stakes if i am using it at the beach. also, i am using a few tarps to provide some serious shade and rain protection using the hiking clips etc.. to attach the tarp grommets to the outside.. cant wait to use it.. will update with photos.. ... show more

  • Lightweight, easy up/easy down shade structure
Color: Gray Size: 15 x 13ft Style: Contains Pfas
This is an absolutely amazing shade....the key word here is SHADE. Say it with me.. "Shade" Its perfect for covering picnic tables at a campground. It's perfect for setting up at the lake to protect your sensitive bits from the hot summer sun and keep the occasional light rain shower that may roll in from ruining a nice picnic lunch. It's perfect for making a little Covid Quarantine outdoor room for you and your significant other (or other members of your immediate household) in that communal space outside your apartment/condo/duplex or at your local park to keep everyone elses filthy germs away. It's not so great at the beach. It's honestly not so great in any situation where it could get real windy. It's also not exactly designed to be set up like a regular pop-up shade. The base is wider than the roof by about 15% all around. So there's the potential for drips and if it gets windy AND rainy, you're gonna get a little wet if you're all spread out inside. Also of note: the walls are covered in a bug /resistant/ mesh. Not 100% bug proof but pretty damn close. Those little no-see-ums slide right through and since there's no floor, they can crawl inside as well. Be aware of where you set this up and what kind of creepy crawlies exist in your particular neck of the woods. But all in all, it's absolutely fantastic at being what it is. An easily set up (and I mean easy. 60 seconds maximum from the time you unzip the outer cover with 2 competent adults) shade structure that keeps the vast majority of nature on the outside while you enjoy your life on the inside looking out at the vast majority of what's still outside. 100% would recommend to anyone looking for a great shade structure that also has built in screen and it ridiculously easy to set up and take down/store. ... show more

  • Great Shaded Spot for Lazy Pups & Happy Campers
Color: Gray Size: 15 x 13ft Style: Contains Pfas
We picked up the Coleman Skylodge Screened Canopy Tent for our camping trips, mainly to give our lazy greyhounds and chunky corgi a shaded lounge area—and it’s been a hit! The setup is super easy (even solo), and the included carry bag makes packing it up a breeze. The screened sides do a solid job keeping the bugs out, which our dogs definitely appreciate. The greyhounds treat the screen like it’s the Great Wall of China, but our mischievous corgi loves crawling under the edges for a quick romp around the campsite. Only real downside is the stakes. The ones that come with it feel pretty flimsy and bent easily when I tried to push them into tougher ground. I swapped them out for my own heavier-duty ones, and that solved the problem. Overall, it’s a great little camp oasis—especially if you’re bringing along your four-legged friends. ... show more

  • One person setup, so nice! One person setup, so nice!
Color: Gray Size: 15 x 13ft Style: Contains Pfas
This worked out great! I brought it myself on my first RV adventure in the Land of Mosquitos (central Wisconsin in July) and it was a pleasure to sit inside and watch the bugs hit the screen and then move on. The size is nice and large, easily fit two or more camp chairs, a table, a portable fan, and doggos. Two zippered "doors" on opposite sides, each has a fabric tab at the bottom to anchor a side to the ground so you just need one hand to zip/unzip. I'm 5'2", round ;-) and older ;-) and set it up/took it down by myself three times during my travels. It wasn't until after the 2nd time that I noticed the instructions (attached to inside of tent) say in all caps "THIS ENCLOSURE REQUIRES AT LEAST TWO PEOPLE TO SET UP." (see one of the pix I uploaded). lol! Glad I didn't read that first I would've been disheartened. It's nice and light, so after setting it up , I was able to "walk it" over my site's picnic table. When you get it in place, you can anchor one or more of the tent poles with permanently attached tethers to the ground w/the aluminum stakes provided. That helps stretch out the base (more room inside) and keep it stable if it's somewhat windy. If it's a lot windy I'd take it down. Not 100% waterproof because of how much of the enclosure is made up of screens, but fine in a light drizzle. One thing: The first time I was setting it up, I could not get the legs to "lock" and gave up after 15 minutes of sweaty frustration. So I looked on YouTube and found a couple people demo-ing it, and realized I had it *upside down*. After I flipped it over, it worked as advertised. Oy. They should imprint something saying "outside/top" and "inside/bottom". ... show more

  • Perfect Bug Tent
Color: Gray Size: 15 x 13ft Style: Contains Pfas
The tent is perfect for summer camping trips. It is spacious and can fit over a typical campsite bench. It's tall enough to make you not feel claustrophobic inside. It's a little difficult to put together when you're done with it though. Overall, the ease of unfolding, capacity, and functionality make it worth the hassle of putting it together. ... show more

  • Super easy set up
Color: Gray Size: 15 x 13ft Style: Contains Pfas
Very easy to set up. I’m 5’2 and set it up myself in less than 5 minutes. Stores just as easy, and actually fits back in the bag. Roomy enough to cover a picnic table with plenty of space to move around it. Better than a canopy as the netting keeps bugs out.

  • Just ok.
Color: Gray Size: 15 x 13ft Style: Contains Pfas
We ordered this to take camping since our old screen tent is on its last legs. We like to have a place to cook and eat that is free from bugs and will protect us from light rain. We ordered the big one - 15X13, I believe - but it doesn't look like the picture. It is six sided rather than a rectangle. It did pretty well keeping the bugs out and stayed dry enough during a light rain that we could play a card game comfortably as long as the four of us clustered together right in the center. It's also a breeze to set up. Less than five minutes to pop it up and get it all staked down. The problem is the very steeply sloped sides. It doesn't make any sense to give this such a large footprint and then cut the usable space in half. Once the picnic table was inside with one end pushed all the way up to one wall, we were only able to maneuver around the other end by ducking down or bending over the table. Luckily it has two doors, which made coming and going a little easier. It would be great as a backyard screen house with a couple of lawn chairs or a small picnic table, but wasn't great for the huge picnic tables that you find at most State Parks. ... show more
