Took it camping, used it for a privacy toilet area. Worked just fine. Could not see the person inside. Easy to set up. Not so easy to fold when done. But, eventually I was able to fold and put it back in the carry bag. The top is open for ventilation but comes with a cover if needed. I'm not a tall person and I was able to put the top piece on when rain was getting near. It has two side windows, you unzip, no screen in the windows. I don't know how well this works when it rains, we got lucky and only got a sprinkle. It does come with a mat to use as a floor, I can't rate the mat, we didn't use it. It is worth the money to have a privacy area. The area that I see that needs improving (or like us and you replace) are the tent stakes. I have actually only had a chance to use this once, but I was SO glad for it when I did use it and I plan to make further use of it. We just recently acquired a popup camper that doesn't have a bathroom, and I took this to a campground where the bathroom wasn't real close by. I used my own "redneck" toilet setup (5-gal. bucket with bag and a snapped-on toilet seat) inside this tent and it was so nice and handy, especially at night. It was lovely not to have to trek across the campground, especially the night it was rainy! I think I will probably get some better stakes; thankfully it stayed put, but the stakes were not real sturdy and popped out of the ground easily. And folding it up takes some doing, but once you get it right, it lays right flat and easily stores in the bag. It was definitely worth it, especially for the price and I look forward to having it handy next summer again for camping. It has a pocket you can put your phone in or even a light of some sort. I kept the little cover over the top, but it has a screened top. I think I will also use it for a portable shower setup if we go for more than a couple nights. ... show more

I used this as a shower and bathroom on a camping trip for five days. It sets up quickly and easily, and is not difficult to take down and put back into the stuff sack. I didn't find the removable floor to be much use because I would have to remove the pegs on the corners to remove or install the floor and it was easier to not use it. The removable top was very handy to regulate the temperature. I deducted one star because the seam of one window was not sewn to the main body and some other seams are pulling and I can see the same thing happening there in the future. As others have said, light goes through and projects shadows so be conscious of the direction of the light. ... show more

This idea of springing up, right out of the bag, really works. It's sturdy with tight fabric panels. The zipper works well. I like the air vent at the top as the access for a shower head. The separate floor drains water from a shower and it can be packed later if still wet or dirty. Once you master the simple trick of wrestling it back into submission when packing it up, it becomes so quick and easy to set up/tear down. (Practice this a few times before you head to the campsite.) It practically unfolds itself. Then, it twist-folds back into a CIRCLE and pops lightweight portable carrying case in seconds. The quality is really good. Privacy-wise...we tested to see if it was see-through. If you're inside, you can see the shadows of people on the outside. Folks on the outside could not see the shadow of the person inside. The only exceptions were if the window flap was down, or the rain cover was off, and the sunlight was shining directly into those open areas. Even so, you really only saw the sunbeams -- not the person's shadow. Putting the rain cover on the top and kipping the window zipped pretty much ensures no one gets a peek at your silhouette. I haven't tried my portable shower, but I am confident it can be easily rigged to work with this. I researched the daylights out of privacy tents before I finally decided to buy this one. I purchased this tent for our Cabin, we are in an area that we have very little phone bars. We have one area by the lake that we can call out. My mother in law is at the cabin most of the summer, she likes to call us a lot to check in. The bugs are horrible and if it’s raining she still goes out and calls. I had bought one of these a few years ago for my daughter to change clothes in at horse shows, I gave it away for others to use. I remember this and bought it for my mother in law for her birthday as a phone booth at the cabin. She is so happy with this. No rain, no bugs and she put a chair inside. Without owning the original version, it appears the additional $15 get you a small piece of material for a roof and another piece of material for a floor. I would have liked to see the additional price go towards some hanging points. for a shower caddy and or something to affix the shower head to. The metal spikes are the typical 1/8" steel spikes that come with most tents. They bend the moment you hit a small rock. Invest in some nice tent pegs, you will need them; as nice as the light weight is for portability, it makes the shower very susceptible to being blown over. As far as the floor goes, I bought a rubber mat: for $24 at a local hardware store. QRRI Floor Mat, 3 ft L, 3 ft W, Square Model Number: IM120-33ILS-EC UPC: 836091001745 This made it much more comfortable to stand on the rocky ground and it fits perfectly inside the tent. It is virtually impossible to fold up the shower WITHOUT reading the instructions. I took it as a challenge but got scared I would bend something. I broke down and look at them.
