Running this on the newest Cab of the time. The HA8802 CE unit from Sam's. It works just fine once the proper firmware is installed. We're having a ton of fun with all of these classic games. As others have mentioned, you're getting support from the seller along with the storage you'd need to buy yourself to do this anyway. There are multiple options with these cabs. I plan on exploring all of them. Starting with the CoinOpsX option is totally fine by me. The value of having support through the firmware process is a great way to get started. You learn a lot from these safe and guided instructions. Its given me confidence to explore the other options out there too ... show more

I bought the current Sam’s Club Legends Ultimate (March 2025) that has the paywall that forces you to buy the advanced features. Even if you buy the features from AtGames, you will still be missing things that were included in the previous firmware versions. After doing some research and feeling a little overwhelmed with changing the firmware, I went with this tool. I’m not tech savvy at all but the included instructions made the firmware installation a breeze and after formatting and mounting the game drive, it’s up and running with more games that I could possibly imagine. A thousand stars. Great and quick response when you email the seller about questions or roadblocks. As a pretty illiterate person when it comes to technology these instructions were super easy and with their help it made it a smooth process. Literally the only thing that made me sad was no NFL Blitz, or at least none that I could find. Otherwise every IP including an Intellivision emulator which for this 46 year old gamer that was a pleasant surprise! ... show more

We got the Legends Ultimate unit this past Christmas of 2024, with me knowing full well that it did not have much at all preloaded on it that anyone would be interested in. Our boys played for a few hours but it had been ignored for months now. I had no intention of signing up for any level of subscription -- sorry AtGames, there is nothing out there that is worth a subscription, not even for any of these 7,500 games offered by this seller. On top of that, the 300 games that the unit originally came with don't play vs two players out of the box, and out of all the crappy 4-bit Atari, the ONE that I actually wanted, Adventure, is the truncated version. Why would I give you guys more money? I was concerned about bricking this unit, mostly because all of the online info for doing any sort of upgrade focused on units that were only available years ago. This option here specifically worked on our newer HA8802 unit, though there were a few dicey moments during the install where I wasn't sure if it would keep going. In the end, this option worked, the unit did not brick, and I never had to contact the seller in a panic. It simply worked, and now I have the 30 games that I really wanted out of the 7,500. It did not have some of the 8-bit Atari that I've seen floating around, but it has enough, plus some things I did not expect. Nice trip down a 50 year-old memory lane. Thank you for keeping this alive, and I suppose AtGames too for making a decent functional arcade unit. ... show more

Ordered for my AtGames Legends 4K Pinball. USB stick came with link to detailed instructions. However, with the 4K ... you just need to insert the USB and all the games come up with no other effort under the BYOG feature. As others have stated, the number of games is extensive and you probably won't plan most of them. Therefore, it is best to spend a few hours and mark your favorites so you can quickly find them. For me, my favorites are the ones found in the arcades. However, there are games for every console going back to the Atari 2600 and Commodore 64. I did have a simple question which I submitted via email. They responded very fast ... within an hour or even minutes. My only cons are: 1. Too many games so time consuming to find the one you want (see favorites suggestion above). 2. Some of the old games might need you to remap buttons and may occasionally crash. Overall .... well worth the money. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. This is AWESOME!!! Definitely more than I expected. Super easy to follow and understand all directions. First review ever, definitely worth investing in if you have the arcade system. Watching a tutorial video also helps.

    • Works as advertised, more games than you could ever play.
Installation went fine, followed instructions and it works. The console puck itself isn't a super fast machine, so you do have to learn to wait a bit and trust that it's working. But it is. Once installed, it works like you expect. More games than you could ever play. You do need to wait until the USB stick light stops flashing when you turn the system on, it does take awhile to load, but the instructions do tell you that. I'd recommend it for sure. ... show more
