  • Wonderful pot, one small flaw with the handle, easily fixed Wonderful pot, one small flaw with the handle, easily fixed
Capacity: 450.0 Milliliters
I’ve had this for a year, and I LOVE it. After learning a few tricks, it makes consistently great coffee and I’m glad I bought it. One half star off for one small but fussy design flaw, but I figured out how to deal with that. I absolutely recommend this Moka pot, even with the flaw. I had a traditional aluminum moka pot that I dropped and bent the threads on. I knew if I got another I wanted stainless steel so I could put it in the dishwasher (and because aluminum is problematic anyway), and I chose this one because of the glass - I could never tell when the aluminum one was close to done or not. Pros- Very easy to clean, class is borosilicate and very strong, handle doesn’t get hot, coffee is consistent and great now that I’ve figured it out. I love watching it brew through the glass. I’m not worried about ruining the threads if I accidentally start to cross thread, it’s very sturdy. Cons- Only one. The handle becomes loose at the top and pops off the edge of the glass, and becomes wigglier with time. Turns out there’s a screw on the underside of the handle you can loosen, put it all back together and tighten again. It still pops off the glass but it doesn’t wiggle or feel like it’s going to fall apart. Once I figured this out, I was really happy. For a while I was afraid to pick it up full of blazing hot coffee. I’m not sure how they would fix this, so I’ve chosen to live with it. Perfection can be elusive! Tips: Definitely use fine/espresso grind, fresh if you can. Don’t tamp down the grounds in the basket at all, maybe a few taps at most. Don’t leave a hump, level off to flat. It brews REALLY FAST if you put boiling water in (use a towel to hold the bottom while you tighten the tip, it’s very hot). Like really fast, under a minute. The coffee is very strong, nearly espresso level. I mix it 1:1 with steamed milk to make two 10oz cups of coffee, or else pour it over ice and add milk for a nice strong cold coffee. ... show more

  • It does work on an induction stove top
Capacity: 350.0 Milliliters
Several reviews stated that this product would not work with an induction stove top. The pot passed the magnet test (magnet must stick to the bottom to be induction ready) so I gave it a try. I have a Frigidaire Gallery Induction oven/range and I have now made several batches of espresso with my new Coffee Gator Moka Pot. Note, the induction top must have a small induction coil or the pot may not be recognized by the stove top. Mine has two normal size, one giant size and one small. The small one is perfect for the Moka Pot. You need to start with hot water (same for all Moka Pots) and because the induction area is kind of small you need to set the cook top to a slightly higher setting (7 out of 10) instead of medium. I was able to make a full pot of espresso in a reasonable amount of time and it did not burn. I roast my own coffee and I look forward to trying this with an espresso blend, my LaVazza espresso didn't make much of a crema. The construction of the pot is very good. I had no problems getting it to seal at the midpoint, and clean up is not as easy as an Aeropress, but about the same as a french press. It will not be my daily coffee method, but I look forward to years of use when I want an espresso for Americano or a milk drink (cappuccino, flat white, etc). If you have an induction range that won't recognize this pot, there are hob adaptors (induction plates) that can be placed between the induction top and the pot. I have one but didn't need it. Overall, I recommend this as a capable, sturdy Moka pot, especially at the price I paid. It is well constructed and the handle is firmly attached. Be careful when cleaning or you could scrape off the exterior paint. Mine is holding up fine. The metal cups it comes with are nice but too small for anything except espresso, but that is kind of the point isn't it? A good pot at a good price. Well done Coffee Gator! ... show more

  • Highley recommend for the perfect cup of coffee
Capacity: 450.0 Milliliters
The best cup of coffee! I experienced this wonderful coffee at a bridal shower recently and asked the Bride where I could get it and she sent me the link. Hands down the best cup of coffee I’ve had in a long time. I’m retiring my big pot now. It’s the perfect brew, and is a great the price and fits anyone’s budget. Add a milk frother and you’ve done away with the coffee shop. ... show more

  • Good little moka pot. Decent size. Good little moka pot. Decent size.
Capacity: 350.0 Milliliters
This product has been made to look great on the outside. It looks not as nice inside, especially in the area where you fill in the water. Mine also appeared to be a bit dirty so I washed all the parts. I wasn’t too concerned being that this item is a new release. But it was a little odd the seal sticker was lifted up instead of being stuck in place. Anyway, the cups that are included are espresso cups and not as big as they seem (kinda was expected to be small and not a bad thing necessarily). Two of these cups basically fill in the water area that you’ll use to boil your water. It works well, but there is a learning curve as to finding which coffee you like most, the grind size, etc. Side note, if the brewed coffee is spurting our, the heat is too high. It also takes a while to brew from cold water, so Coffee Gator recommends filling it with heater water. The bottom water reservoir heats up to whatever temp water you add to it, so burn warning so it doesn’t happen to you like it almost happened to me when using my filter water tower with a hot and cold spicket. A towel is recommended if filling with hot water to screw it together as well. That said, coffee comes out nice and strong. I don’t hear mine gurgle too loud, so my indication it’s done is when I see a good amount of steam coming out. I usually keep the heat on medium when heating this thing up. The cups are about 3oz each, eyeing the amount that I got this morning with my third brew with this thing. A full pot filled my 12oz insulated cup about half way. I think I may be using this moka pot to brew a “full cup” and adding cream or frothy milk. It’s a nice change from my usual espresso machine. Happy brewing! ... show more

  • Great quality. Thick glass. Coffee is amazing!
Capacity: 200.0 Milliliters
I’ve just begun using it. It is heavier than I was anticipating. Thick glass. Great quality! It doesn’t feel fragile (due to the glass) like I was anticipating. I rarely leave reviews for products, and I typically only drink one cup of coffee a day- but it was so good that I’m on my second cup of coffee. Life changing moment for me. Moka is my new FAV… and watching it brew through the glass makes me happy. ... show more

  • Get it. Get it.
Capacity: 450.0 Milliliters
I will give 5 stars because the material seems perfect for me. It felt sturdy enough when it arrived, we bought this moka pot because we are trying to have as little hormone disrupters as possible for our family. So when it arrived it was great; last 2 pictures where before the 9cup moka pot lid fell of. I wanted to make the review because I had ordered a different brand of the same material and it didn’t felt sturdy enough, didn’t matter how tight I closed it the coffee got all over the place, it was a mess. I found this brand, decided I was gonna risk and ordered 2 different sizes and honestly I love my moka pots. But I don’t know if it was heat, the 9cup moka pot lid fell and when I checked it was a little screw that it has and where is holding the piece entirely together. I took pictures but I don’t think you can appreciate clearly. I will try customer service and see how can they help if they are willing to do so. I will update accordingly. It works perfect, it brews my coffee exactly as I love, I have 4cups and 9cup and both I adore. ... show more

  • The Best Moka Pot I’ve Owned — Sturdy, Beautiful, and Makes Incredible Espresso
Capacity: 450.0 Milliliters
I’ve owned three or four moka pots over the years, and this one is by far the best. The glass top is such a great feature — you can see the coffee brewing, which makes the process feel more precise and elevated. It feels sturdy and well-constructed, not flimsy like some others I’ve tried. It seals properly and brews consistently smooth, rich stovetop espresso. The flavor is bold without tasting burnt, and it heats evenly. If you love stovetop espresso, this is absolutely worth it. Beautiful design, easy to use, and truly the best one I’ve owned. Five stars. ... show more

  • Leaky leaky leaky
Capacity: 450.0 Milliliters
The first one arrived shattered, so we returned that and got a replacement, but it was a rather nasty experience to get cut by the little glass shards when we reached in to pull the moka pot out of the box. The manufacturer needs to package better because the product is very fragile - the glass is not thick. The replacement also was faulty. Water leaks out of the bottom chamber of the moka pot, and coffee leaks out of the silicon part of the upper part of the moka pot. What a shame because it was awesome to watch the coffee being made, and the coffee was decent, but we cannot have a moka pot that leaks from multiple places every time. Makes cleaning up after a hassle every single time. ... show more
