I have friends that are whiskey drinkers and so I got this as something to entertain them for when they visit, and we put it to use on new years. I would be hesitant to give it as a serious/expensive gift, but may be ok as a casual/fun gift. The contents in mine were disheveled and the case was marred in several places that don't appear to have been from shipping. There were mixed results on the wood chips... some said they could taste the smoke, and others could not taste it.. but could smell it. Some said the difference in chips was noticeable, others not so much. As an entertainment piece it was a success... 5 stars. But as for flavor/aroma rating I have to defer to others who can drink it (and that is currently at 3 stars for the mixed results... averaging at 4 stars).

I got this from my husband who wanted to get more and death of different drinks and this has been so much fun to use and try out different smoke flavors. Overall the kit looks extremely high quality and everything has been top-notch. it's package beautifully. It works great and for the price you get a ton.

This is truly an amazing gift set! Everything you want is included and in the quantities that make sense! For example, you get 6 whiskey/bourbon stones, 4 different kinds of wood to smoke and everything is better quality than you expect for the price! This kit contains the same butane torch that I previously bought for $40 in a kit priced around $60 which really explains the extreme value this kit offers! That's before you factor in the laser-etched wood storage case, the ice tongs, cleaning brushes, even a rocks glass is included! All you have to add it butane fuel (available here on Amazon) and your spirits!

This cocktail smoker kit works very well once you've fueled the torch. As the product description says, butane is not included. It creates a nice, smoky flavor in your beverages in less than a minute if your hands are quick. It's easy to use and to clean up. However, the instructions are lacking, especially when it comes to the torch which is an essential part of the kit. The proper uses of the other accessories are also absent from the instructions. That said, this is still a 5-star product, because it's all very easy to figure out.

This entire setup is quite nice! It comes in a well put together box(perfect for gifting) with everything placed nicely inside as well. When using this product the torch did not come filled just make sure you have a butane filler on hand. There is four didn't kinds of chips you can add to your drink that each one give its own unique smokey taste to whatever beverage you add the smoke to. One thing to note, if you're doing this inside be aware you're going to make whatever room you're in smokey.

I ordered this for my boyfriend. He enjoys an occasional libation from time to time and I wanted him to have something that seemed a bit more upscale and a little different than just pouring some bourbon or whiskey into a glass. This set hits it right on the mark. As soon as he opened it he immediately fell in love with this gift. It is safely shipped with no butane in the torch. The set comes with 4 flavors of wood - Cherry, Oak, Pecan and Apple; 6 cold stones - to keep your smokey drink cold without watering it down; tongs; a small spoon to add the wood into the provided smoker; and a glass to serve it all in.
