I tried a smoked cocktail at a bar and thought this would be fun to try at home. This set has everything you need for adding a kiss of smoke to cocktails or other things (like cheese). I like that the wood holder has a lid. I thought that the smoke at that bar was more flair and less flavor. I like that this has a lid so I can cover it and let the smoke infuse a little longer. I tried it with some whiskey I had stored in the freezer for this - smoking works better on cold items than room temperature. I was able to add a nice kiss, better than what I had at that bar. Unfortunately, the this product did not work for me, and I was so excited. The smoke escaped from the sides of the device, and the chips were difficult to ignite. I tried at least 7 times. Despite my failed attempts, I have to acknowledge it is a nicely packaged product. I just wished it lived up to its expectations. I'm returning the item.
