The media could not be loaded. From the moment you open the box, everything is very well-packaged and labeled. They even provide a cutout with the measurements of the coop door to make installation easy! The set-up instructions are easy to follow. Getting the coop door installed was quick. Using the screws provided, I only needed a drill to secure the door to the coop’s frame. Here’s what I love most about Cluckhub’s automatic coop door: 1. Ease of installation. The pre-measured cutout was a bonus that I was not expecting. This meant no measuring or guesswork. 2. Settings. I love how many different options there are. If you don’t want to use the settings, it also comes with a remote that you can use to manually open and close the door. 3. Solar Power Panel. If the power goes out, I don’t have to worry about my door getting stalled or not working. If you don’t have electric in your coop, you don’t have to run wires either. 4. Safety feature. This was one of the most impressive things for me. If the door is closing and a chicken is still trying to get through, it will not close on the chicken. It stops briefly, then continues to close as long as the opening is cleared. 5. Waterproof. Rain won’t stop this door from working. It opens and closes just fine after being rained on. 6. Durability. The door itself is stable and does not give. So far, I’ve not had any predators get inside. 7. Convenience. I like that I can adjust the settings so that the door will close at dusk and open at dawn. This means if I’m out with my family, I don’t have to rush home to close the coop door. Big plus for us! 8. Noise. I was worried that my chickens might be scared of the automatic door opening and closing, but this door is very quiet. You can adjust the speed at which the door opens and closes too. My chickens had no issues going through this door. Overall, I give it 5 stars. It has made things much easier for our busy family! I highly recommend this coop door!

We bought 2 of these doors and they worked great. But, less than a year later, both doors stopped working. One is stuck open and the other stuck closed. This product says it has a lifetime warranty. I tried contacting the manufacturer multiple times. Phone goes to voicemail every time. I left 4 messages and was never called back. I even emailed them and no response. Amazon contacted the seller for me and there was no response from them either. Thankfully, Amazon have me a full refund and now I'm in search of another door that will actually work and keep my chickens safe.

Nov 2024 Update: It’s still going strong! Remotes don’t work anymore but it’s still functioning and timed opening and closing is great. It’s controlled on the display on the door so it doesn’t bother me that remotes broke. We have a rooster with our flock, so it’s especially important for us that the opening is delayed for the sake of our neighbors. I would still buy this again, however, if I had to do this all over, I would spend the big bucks and just buy an Omlet automatic coop door for $200 after shipping. Flawless. Install was easy with a jigsaw. This has saved us so much time. Will buy again if it breaks this winter and when we decide we need one for our second coop. Love this. Timer is amazing and works every time. Love that it’s solar but also can be charged. The remote has a good range and is a great feature.

I had high hopes for this coop door as it purportedly was made in the USA and comes with lifetime warranty. Easy enough to install and set up. Worked as expected for approximately 2weeks and then just stopped opening reliably and closing reliably no matter the setting. It hasn’t lost charge. So sometimes it operates just fine for a few days in a row and then fails to open automatically in the morning for no apparent reason. Completely defeats the purpose of having an automatic coop door. Good luck contacting the company too as the number provided connects to a fax machine. Don’t waste your time or money on this particular door unless you don’t plan to leave your chickens . Otherwise, it is sturdy, weatherproof, and seems to charge well. It is simply unreliable and you will have to be around to open it by manually pushing the open button. Addendum several months later: after having read my review the seller contacted me and explained that there’d been a typo in the customer support phone number which is why I hadn’t been able to contact them . He also immediately refunded me and sent me a new coop door. That door had a faulty solar panel. When the seller followed up to see if all was working properly he then sent a completely new coop door set up. The door continues to be somewhat problematic in that it will not operate properly set on sensor at all but will operate reliably set on timer for several days in a row before inexplicably switching modes to sensor and then not opening or closing without my switching back to timer mode. It continues to hold a charge well and opens and closes smoothly. At this point it works reliably enough that I’m not terribly inconvenienced . However, I cannot give the product 5 stars but I would definitely give customer service 5 stars thus, a four star rating. So ultimately the door offers some day to day convenience but I would not leave for a vacation without having someone to check on the chickens daily. I would add that even if the door was 100% reliable I wouldn’t leave chickens unattended for a vacation anyway. That being said, this company provides excellent customer service and support once you reach them and that makes it worth giving this product a try. You literally have nothing to lose.
