My last plastic office chair mat in my home office was on it's last legs, so I decided to spring for this tempered glass chair mat. WOW, it's really excellent. I've had it about two months now and have had no problems. Having worked in many offices and home offices with carpet over the years, the plastic chair mat was the de facto solution. The glass solution is so much better for rolling and is just so comfortable. I love the feel of the glass under my feet. I was a little concerned about the shipping and the shipping weight. My home office is on the first floor, so that's a good thing. The box arrived via UPS and the driver brought the box right to my garage. From there I was able to push the box to my office and didn't have to lift the box. Once in my office, it was a little awkward, but I was able to position the glass mat myself. I'm sure the the instructions suggest a team approach. Should have purchased one of these years ago. The beveled edge on the glass is a nice touch. I've had a few light things fall on the glass and all has been okay. But I'm really careful not to let anything metal crash down on it. I highly recommend this product.

I reviewed numerous glass chair mats and kept coming back to this one even though it was more expensive than most. I finally ordered it after getting new carpeting, using the plastic mats for years and having to push myself out of the "ruts" if I sat too long. It came very quick and was packaged unlike anything I've ever ordered. It took me 15 minutes to get through all the layers, corner guards, edge guards, packing tape, Styrofoam, etc. The only thing that could have possibly happened to it during shipment is if it was dropped off the truck and shattered. After unpacking it standing up against a wall, I ran my fingers around all edges and sides and found one (1) - 3/8" long chip about 3/32" wide on a corner on the bottom of the mat. I immediately sent a couple pictures alerting the manufacturer that this was there and wanted to make sure it wouldn't void my lifetime warranty. The initial response the next day was a long sincere apology indicating that this likely happened at the factory followed by letting me know that a new one was being shipped out the next day and to keep the one I have but it will no longer be warranted. No questions asked. I received a new mat in a few days which included a lifetime warranty just like the first one. I'm still using the first one 3 months later and have a brand new one still packaged up under my bed. The only warning would be if you're used to plastic mats, be careful because you'll fly off this one if you push back like you always do. In closing, I couldn't be happier.

I thought that the days when you could talk to a company and have them be responsive and professional, and demonstrate that they stand behind the quality of the products were long gone. The company that makes this mat changed my mind. I called them with questions, they responded promptly, and their answers were honest and helpful. I called them with more questions once it arrived and they were right there to help me get it set up. After using it for three months now it still looks like new and works like the first time I rolled a chair across it. It's way, way beyond any plastic mat in terms of ergonomics, and it really looks great, especially on a hardwood floor.

Product is heavy but EXTREMELY WELL packaged. OMG it is so much nicer than the last THREE "plastic" garbage chair mats I have bought AND THROWN OUT. I say heavy. Yes..it is. But I am 50 years old so I was able to manage it. In fact I accidentally put it wrong side down but was able to correct that. Buy this you won't regret it.

This floor mat is unbelievable!! When we were first told that we should purchase this tempered glass floor mat we were very skeptical. But once we received the first one for my husband's workspace, we knew why it was recommended and we have never regretted it. It is well worth the added expense. In fact, I have one under my desk now too and it plays a huge part in keeping my back healthy. No more straining my back to move my office chair on the carpet!!

Used to replace plastic mat that cracked and broke in a home office. On top of carpet. This glass mat is wonderful. Glides with the slightest move, which takes some getting used to. If it truly holds up over time, it will definitely deserve a #5 rating.

I just installed this chair mat and I am very impressed. It is clean and smooth and so much better than the plastic mats that I have been using for 30+ years. I wish I had bought this years ago. Also, the price is right. I won't know if it truly lasts a lifetime until I am... you know... dead, but it seems at first look and use to be a very well-made product. This same thing from a company like Vitrazza was at least $150 more.
