I use this root touch up fairly regularly and am always happy with this. It's worth the price to buy the 2 pack on Amazon rather than buying one at a time at a pharmacy or grocery store or something. It's very easy and straightforward to apply and wipes off of skin or bathroom surfaces easily if you accidentally make a mess like I usually do. It always leaves my hair feeling healthy and fresh after I do a touch up, though I always need to leave it in for more like 20 mins to get the coverage I need.

I like Clairol Root Touch up in that the little kit with the dish and the brush makes it fast and easy to touch up those pesky roots in between trips to the salon or whole head colors. Clairol is the only brand that will truly completely cover my very resistant grays-my hair is coarse and doesn't take color all that well. Because my hair is very, very thick I really should use two kits and a time. The negative for me is the cost. Whether here or in the store the cost of the touch up kit is basically the same as the cost of the complete color kit. So buying two touch up kits is actually more than one full color kit, even though there is only about 1/4 the amount of hair dye in it. That's a lot to be paying to get a teeny plastic brush applicator and mixing cup. If I buy the whole no little brush applicator and a TON of leftover unused color. So, to deal with my roots I have to choose between buying the full kit (and just use an old brush) and throw half of it away or buy one touch up kit and not really get all my roots covered.

I have thick hair so one box will cover just the roots in the front part of my hair which is good enough for me. I do buy the 2 box package in my subscription because it’s a better deal.

Bought this for in between salon visits. Love the brush for application. My hair is thick. This is not enough product. I will just buy a regular box for same price and just do the roots. Faded quickly too. Not sure the 10 min time recommendation is enough for coverage
