Like most box dye kits it comes with essentially everything you need to dye at home. You just need to get a mixing bowl and applicator. I have dark blonde/light brown hair and it did give me some purple sheen/tint but the color is more of a rich brown with purple in it then just straight up purple. This may be a good color if you have a job that doesn't allow unnatural hair colors but you still want to add a little something to your hair. ... show more

My hair is usually a medium to dark brown and hadn’t been dyed in years so any previously colored hair has been chopped off long ago. I was excited to try this product since it seemed like it would work even on non blond hair. The application was pretty standard box dye but I do like that it comes with a glaze to freshen things up a couple weeks later. As far as the color, it’s a very pretty rich tone but it’s not plum or purple really. It just made my hair a really dark rich brown I do like the color but it’s not the bold and colorful look I was hoping for which is a bummer. ... show more
