Ya this is legit temporary as in it doesn’t cover white hair and you have to apply 100 times and doesn’t last for more than a few washes. I wouldn’t get it again

It’s a very mild color, really makes hair feel smooth and nurtured, but color washes away completely after just a couple shampoos. So if you wash hair often - not a great option.

I'm 46 and have short dark brown hair; the last several years i've started to get some gray strands surrounding my face. Not terrible but enough to bother me. I definitely didn't want to start coloring my hair or highlighting it with something toxic just for several gray hairs. So for me, this is the perfect solution. Once a week, after washing my hair, I just use the toothbrush applicator to comb through the top and sides of my hair. If I were completely gray, I don't know if this would work as well? Would probably require me to use at least a half bottle (and remember, I have short hair). But, for my needs, it's perfect; it's very natural and I don't mind the once a week application. It's simple and not messy. Because I'm only applying to cover a bit of gray, it's also very cost-effective.

If you are looking for temporary non-toxic hair dye to cover grays, this is perfection. I'm not 100% gray but i definitely need to go to the salon every month. This is so amazing because it is inexpensive, safe, and it really works. Of course it doesnt completely eliminate grays but it really covered mine i would say around 98%. I still see them but they are much more subtle and look blended with my hair. This stuff is almost like a gloss. I'm so happy i bought it. I would just advise you keep the gloves on in the shower so you dont stain your fingers.

I've been on a quest to find a healthy hair color alternative, one without peroxides, ammonia or PPD. The dark chestnut was a little darker than I would have liked but it did a great job covering the grays. Be sure to shampoo roots well so that hair is prepped and will hold the color. Use the brush provided to really rub the coloring into the roots. Leave on for recommended time. Takes a while to rinse and can be a bit messy - use the gloves! I followed with a hair mask and left on for 30 minutes then rinsed again and massaged areas on scalp where there was still staining. Day 4 and I'm still loving my hair. I shampoo only once to twice a week so, we'll see. Going to try light chestnut next...
