    • Don’t waste your money! Way overpriced!
I bought this color wheel for my husband as a surprise for Christmas. He’s mentioned many times about having a tree like this growing up. I wanted to bring back special childhood memories for him. But this color wheel is nothing but flimsy plastic. It only lights up half the tree and doesn’t do that very well. The 60 watt bulb it recommends sticks out way past the plastic causing a lot of white light. They probably have $2 max in the material and I paid right at $50. In order to light up the whole tree you would need 2 of them. I read the reviews and someone said put in a 100 watt. I did because I wanted it to work so bad but it melted the plastic. Shame on me. I really feel like I way over paid. $15.00 yes. $50 no. ... show more

It's not quiet what I was wanting but it works ok. You will definitely need to put something around it to get it to shine so the light isn't coming out of the sides so it will light the tree up more. Also use the bulbs that are suggested by the other reviews. It's not to sturdy so if you have animals or small children it will knock over easily. It is a little loud when running but not unbearable. The color wheel it's self is an ok purchase but the price point is a little high for what it is. ... show more

Sadly, I ordered this colorwheel to replace one of the very same from just two years ago that made a disturbing sound as it operated. The first day the new one was delightful.
