Easy to put together, all you have to do is look at the pic here (if you get confused without instructions) and understand how to do. All there is to it, is threading the ribbon through the holes. I don't consider this hard assemble, heck my 6 year old niece did the Merry one. As far as the comments saying it's paper thin, I'm puzzled over that. It says hard stock card in the description, that's what I got. It's a bit harder than cardboard, not flimsy at all. I just wanted to respond and address those comments of it's "hard" to assemble and made of "thin flimsy paper" for anyone that's unsure of buying because of those comments. My personal view is, that it's cute, looks cute over the fireplace and doesn't look cheap as some suggested. Does it look like a millionaire would buy and hang, probably not, but then again I'm not a millionaire, so I can't answer that. Lately I've been discouraged over Amazon's reviews. Half the time you don't know if people are getting something free from the company if you give it a 5 star rating. Yes this happens, I bought something myself and the company (Not Amazon) had a card inside box that said, if I give a 5 star rating I'll receive something free. Btw they got 1 star just for bring dishonest. Then you have the unhappy customer because you have to "assemble" when assembly can be done by a 6 year old, so they give it a rating of 1 or 2. Sadly, I can't trust Amazon's ratings more than half the time. If I buy anything that cost a bit or is a gift, I'll read the reviews, BUT I also ask people I know and research the item elsewhere. I never depend on just Amazon's reviews any longer due to knowing first hand some companies (AGAIN NOT AMAZON, as the company the product came from had message card inside product) more or less pay you to put that 5 star rating. This got a 5 star rating, as it IS what I expected for a Christmas decoration. Now if it catches on fire I'll make SURE to update this review. :) ... show more
