It came in 5 large boxes. At first I was overwhelmed, but I put all the drawers together and my husband put the bed and stairs. It took us roughly 5 hours total. But it was worth it. Ok I moved a LOT of furniture in my day. I told myself a hundred times I would never buy a bed tike this in my life. Well I finally lost my mind and did. However this one is a nice bed I must admit. We have hardwood floors so I bought the one with drawers on wheels under the bed. It came very well packaged and only a small chip on one drawer. Putting it together was not too bad you just have take your time. Do not use a power tool. The predrilled holes are too big for the A10 screws. I recommend going out and getting fatter screws same length. If you ever have to move this bed it will probably not go back together the same way as it did or will be potentially loose if you keep using those cheap skinny A10 screws. Additionally the wood is very soft pine so you need to be careful with those cheap skinny A10 screws. This is a beautiful bed with lots of storage and seems very sturdy so far. Love the stairs and cherry wood finish. We'll see how it holds up with the cheap skinny A10 screws. I'll replace them when I move the bed. I'll give it 3.9 because of the A10 screws. ... show more

My grandson's absolutely love these beds. They are sturdy and having the drawers and not having to worry about a dresser taking up space is perfect. They were a pain to put together. It took several hours to put them together. Well worth the money.

Shipping was fast and the boxes were well packaged. If you are comfortable assembling IKEA and Dania furniture, you will no problem putting this together. The bed took me about 90 minutes from unpackaging to carrying away the garbage. The stairs took about 2 hours. They look good and I was content with the sturdiness of the construction. My girls (7 and 3) love them. The wood is soft and will likely dent and scratch fairly easily, but this is a kid's bunk bed so I expect wear and tear. A couple of the boards had minors cracks/splits and the finish wasn't ideal in some spots, but it never rose to an 'unacceptable' level. Keeping in mind this bunk bed is half the price of similar beds from Pottery Barn or Land of Nod so I was willing to accept some defects. I would buy it again and I would recommend it to friends and family. ... show more

Awesome bunk beds! My husband could put them together with minimal assistance from me in about 8 hrs. They are really solid,smell amazing due to being real wood, and our daughter loves them! Storage space is ridiculous, I have all the blankets and bed linens in the bottom 2 drawers with room to spare.
