I have the swing outside in the pen area, hanging from hooks I added from the roofline and some rope to bring it down to what I felt was a more appropriate level. That works. The swing is one of their favorite perches. It does show a picture of a chicken using it, but the description states parrot. It is large enough for a chicken. I do worry about the wood (unfinished) getting mildewy with outside use, but so far it's been fine. I am washing it regularly and spread some food-grade mineral oil on it to hopefully help prevent it. ... show more
