    • Do not waste your money
Not worth the metal and plastic it is made from. Egg trays do not stay in place when the hens get on them to lay. Always slide out when the get on them. I am going to try and put a screw in them to hold in place.

I LOVE THIS BOX but the tray doesn't stay 100% in the spot it should stay in. So far it has NOT fell out, just got off the track and has me worried that it might get knocked out. I have 3 hens right now my eggs are in the front and always clean my favorite part. I would like to get one more

I purchased this nesting box thinking it would be a little bit more sturdier than what it is it is flimsy and does not with stand the chickens roosting on the red cover that lifts up so eggs can gather eggs they knock them out the eggs do roll down as shown they do stay cleaner but as for the sturdiness of the overall product I would only give it maybe a 3 when putting it together you need to be extremely careful it has very sharp metal pieces on it that will cut it is best to have two people an extra set of hands will probably keep you from getting cut ... show more

    • After a week my girls will not nest in it.
As mentioned elsewhere the instruction sheet is missing valuable information. Trial and error worked for me. Close up detail pictures or line drawings would be helpful. The trays don't exactly fit right. An improvement would be for the small side to be pre-drilled so that when mounted on the outside of a coop outside wall it would be easier to bolt or screw on a front cover. All things considered If I can train my girls to use it then it will have been a worthwhile purchase. Edited to add. The seller upon reading my review offered a full refund of my purchase. In my opinion this proves them to be an honorable business sincerely trying to earn trust. Months later my hens have started to use the nesting box. Most of the eggs roll down but without a barrier or curtain the hens have been able to eat some of my eggs. ... show more

This is a decent nesting box if you need something quick and/or you can’t build one. There are some cheaper options, but this is a pretty good quality box. Personally my chickens refuse to use it. It wasn’t too hard to put together, but I wish the instructions would have been a bit clearer. They were very lacking. They had me convinced I was missing a piece. Read them carefully. Otherwise I really like the roll out egg design. It would be great to be able to collect the eggs from the front, but like I said, mind won’t use it. It is good for outdoors but eventually the painted and galvanized metal do rust. It is fairly heavy and study once put together. Because items made of metal and plastic, cleaning can be done with a hose. Very easy to clean. ... show more
